From a blog, found by Nadine: Phil, Joana and I went to the Closing Gala for the Cardiff Film Festival. I'm behind the camera here, that's Phil in front and Joana in the bottom right. Alice Eve, star of 'Big Nothing', the movie we saw, is to Phil's left with blonde hair. That's Rufus Sewell just to her right..! Film was excellent and it was great of the Director, Jean-Baptiste Andrea, to show up to introduce it. I loved the Director's earlier movie 'Dead End' with Ray Wise, and loved the French short that he made before that - it was kind of a prototype to 'Dead End'. Lots of similar shots in Big Nothing to Dead End including bird's eye view of a car at night winding through streets, forest either side. Anyway, great film. Go see.

Sprouting for a new role sounds good! But nay, it's not my favourite look either!!

"So young, so carniverous" Alfie Byrne to Robbie Fey in "A Man Of No Importance" (the lunch scene) one of my all time favorite Rufus films. Albert Finney was wonderful, and was Rufus. He played Robbie with such gentleness and sensitivity. Hear hear. That movie is the reason I'm on this board today. re: IASL, I don't think losing a leg in the war is exactly a happy ending, I thought it was sad! And hear hear again on Giles, Ginny, that one is just a big sobfest. In a good way.

I've never actually noticed because I rarely watch that picture beyond the bit where he puts them on the boat and goes back. That's kind of the defining moment for me. Everything that needs to be said has been said by that point. Everything else is... unnecessary overkill. I love the railway station scene!! It is just the right amount of schmaltz to wrench my sentimental heart.

[random]You know, in that scene when you see him from behind, it looks like he is taking a drag from a cigarette but when he tuns around, no cigarette (or stub). Stupid and minute but that always gets me.[/random]

If you look at Ginny's recent Roof pics, you can see that he is wearing an In A Savage Land t-shirt. This reminded the lovely Rai of the photo Rufus sent her when he was filming that movie. Quoting Rai: "He took it himself (of course) - it was right as the film was wrapping. He said it was the shortest his hair had ever been." The file name of this photo is appropriately "ME". Thanks for sharing, Rai!!

So, does that mean Rai can post the photos she's taken of Rufus? Since they belong to her? Those were always so fun, because they were candid, not posed! If Rai is ok with it, of course! Michelle Of course. There is no copyright issue there as long as Rai is ok with it.

we could also draw in mustaches & beards on Roof's likeness & cut & paste different clothes on him & we would be safe......& maybe we could change him to a blonde too. Great idea!! LOL

I have seen two articles today on the "love" of Rufus and Eve........funny how that is such big news! But at least it's something about our guy! Where? Do tell!!! Please take it to email or PM's if it concerns speculation about his private life.

I don't know, I haven't thought about how to approach this issue yet. Shall we go for caution or reckless abandon?

I've just realised maxx has already put this news up on another section. Maybe we can keep this thread for our reviews of it? Sounds good to me.
