I just thought I'd start this thread so that people can say hello and let everyone know that they are on this board now!

I'm Michelle, I live in Texas, I've been a Rufus fan since "A Knight's Tale" but haven't become truly obsessed with him and his work until the last few months. I now own or have seen MOST of his work, still don't have the earliest of his stuff. Of course I have not seen him in any play, but I ain't dead yet either!

Thanks, Uke, for setting this up, thanks to Minx for bringing this group all together in the first place! I look forward to getting to know more of you in the future.

Hi everyone, my names pattirose and I live in Western Canada. I have only recently become obsessed with Ruf also after realizing I'd seen that lovely face many times before when recently watching Tristan and Isolde. I've since bought most of his dvds and a multi-region dvd player to play some of them on. I'm looking forward to keeping up with all the Ruf news and chatting with everyone.

i never introduced myself properly on the other board. too shy, or in denial, i think! i spotted roof in Taming of the Shrew, which i was half-watching in between eating and washing up etc. but i was quickly drawn in and, totally unusually for me, the following day found myself googling his name. i soaked up loads of info online, lurked around the other board, sort of forgot about it all for a couple of months, then went back to the board earlier this year (to check out some gossip i'd seen about him, but will steer clear of private life chat) and saw that he was doing a play. and that, fellow addicts, was my downfall. off i went to london, surprised myself by going up to say Hi after the play, and i now have what can best be described as a Bit of a Problem. Slowly catching up with his back catalogue (don't want to rush it, there'll be no fun left if i do!) and wondering how much longer we'll have to wait in the UK for the illusionist to come out.
looking forward to settling in to our new home here.

There, I've said it!

I first noticed Ru in Charles II, when it finished bought Middlemarch...and didn't watch it! Then I saw the trailers for Shrew just before I went on holiday last year, and knew something was up when I started panicking that it would be shown while I was away (it wasn't, phew!). I knew he'd got me when I stayed up to watch She Creature, starting at 1.30 am...he kind of creeps up on you, doesn't he? (I wish...*daydreams*) And I've been obsessed ever since.

And I'm so glad I can still have my Rufus fix - all hail to Uke!

I guess I'd better reintroduce myself, too... *ahem*!

My name is Pendarim, but you can call me Pen for short. I was bitten by the Rufus Bug this summer (and the teeth marks may never go away !). It started with Tristan and Isolde. First thing I said was, "Forget James Franco...who's the *other* guy?!"

I found EMS a couple of weeks before I actually joined. While lurking, I found out about his films, and have been on a DVD-buying binge ever since. I won't list all of them here, but I ordered The Last King because I'd heard so much about it from others on the board. Thanks to everyone for helping me out and sharing the "addiction"!
