I had a lovely dream about Rufus last night. I awoke this morning feeling so elated, it seemed so real.
We were together and the feeling of being together was overwhelming...we loved eachother entirely. It was not a sexual dream but one of complete mental and emotional union. In the dream, I was working on something important (I can't remember what) and he was so supportive and made me feel very strong and loved and I knew that I could rely on him. I know it was only a dream and upon waking, I had the slight disappointment that of course none of this was true, but I also felt very happy and have had this feeling all day long. My goodness, if the man can make me feel like that in a dream, then what would real life be like? Some lucky person will know the answer to that I guess!!
It was just a dream but it made my day so happy and I thank the lovely Rufus for that....thank you Rufus!!

OH God, Eleanor, It must have been wonderful! To feel Roofie being so close to you:-[ I WANT THE SAME!! And you know what, dunno if you ever heard of Komedas Lullaby from :"Rosemarys baby" Film, but I always compare this melody to our Rufus.. so gentle, so beautiful, so sweet, subtle, delicate, endearing, and yet melancholic... just like Him... and then of course I burst out crying... If you havent heard of it yet, I recommend you... My own title for this tune is :"Rufus, I miss you"... Hugs and wish you to have more such beautiful dreams of our fantastic Rufus

I am going to have a listen to the music that you mention as I agree with you in your description of Rufus. He is all those things to me too, with an air of melancholy running through him, deep down somewhere. I hope you have a lovely dream of him sometime too!! Elliex

www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJckigaFRoA here's the link.. Sorry, but every time I hear this tune, and think of RS, my heart is bleeding.. and I'm telling you, Eleanor, if Roofie was about to let us say metaphorically : "transform" into a melody, it would sound exactly like that!

That is quite beautiful and strange and I use the word strange in a sense of 'being different', not 'run of the mill', which I can apply to Rufus. I have always thought of him as different, his own person as an actor that brings very unique qualities and style to his portrayals. I hope that never changes, for that is what brought me to him in the first place, apart from his image, of 'being different' of being a breath of fresh air.

Ive had two rufus dreams this week. One was on an airplane and the other was in a hotel room, of which i will spare you the details. But it was great, and like eleanor left me feeling rather elated

My dream of Rufus no. 2:
This was a bit mixed up. I have been dreaming so vividly these past few months that I sometimes wake up exhausted!!!
A friend and I went to a party (I don't know who the friend was!!). It was a small gathering of people but very pleasant. I remember it was in London because when I looked out of the window (which was 2-3 floors up) I was looking down on The Strand. Rufus was over by the window on his own and I went over to him. We started talking about various things (I can't remember what) but I do remember that we made each other laugh..which was nice! The next thing, we were in a bedroom BUT..not doing anything, again just talking. Rufus started to unbutton his shirt and he had trouble undoing his cuffs. Now the design of the cuffs of his shirt really sticks in my mind. They were beautiful..long cuffs with four buttons, pale blue, delicate cotton material. I started to undo the cuffs. Someone else was in the room(!) talking to us and we were all just chatting. Next (phew!) I was sitting in a veterinary practice (I am a veterinary nurse by profession) in the office doing paperwork. Rufus was sitting behind me talking to the vet about something, then he got up and said something that made us all laugh, he had to go and left the room. Then I started to wake up and I remember thinking , "Oh, not yet, don't wake up" but I did.
I awoke feeling happy, just as I did the last time. I did watch 'the actors cut' before I went to sleep last night, so it must have been a trigger. Think I might do that every night!!

Well, dreams are more than I have, so you get no violins from me I know what you mean about waking up exhausted, though. I dream (non-Rufus) a lot, and sometimes I awaken more tired than when I go to bed!

My neck aches, I'm all anxious, God knows what I have been doing whilst sleeping!! Maybe I run round the house or something..my sister sleep walks badly..even all these years later!!

She has something in common with Rufus, then, Ellie: When Rufus Sewell was caught starkers in a hotel corridor, he had the perfect excuse.
The girl in the hotel corridor didn't know where to look. It was five in the morning and there was hunky Rufus Sewell, stark naked, muttering 'Er... sorry ... it's not what you think ... really.' Then she ran off.
Rufus has been blighted by the curse of sleepwalking since he was a teenager. On this occasion, he'd booked into a five-star hotel in normally sedate Bournemouth for the opening night of his hit romantic comedy, Martha, Meet Frank, Daniel & Laurence. He finally stumbled across an astonished night porter.
'Can you imagine?' he says. 'God knows what he thought! All he said was 'you must be one of the VIP guests,. He was staring at the top of my head. I think if he'd looked down, he would have fainted. He got me a towel, then let me back into my room.
'What can you do about sleepwalking? Hypnosis, I suppose. Or sleeping pills. But I don't want to go in that direction. Somebody suggested handcuffs - but imagine if I got free and somebody found me naked in handcuffs! www.geocities.com/vue2sewell/Archive/1999/Now/now99.htmlUmm......Rufus naked.....in handcuffs...... Yowzah!!!!

Yowzah!!!! That is hilarious!! Poor Rufus...what a terrible thing to happen and have no control over it. My sister just has to live with it. She has tried everything. Hypnosis actually worked for a while then just didn't anymore. I will never forget her going in to my mum and dads wardrobe, sitting down and weeing!! We couldn't wake her...she didn't believe it in the morning. I used to have some fascinating conversations with her some nights..everything she said was total garbage!!

I'd read that somewhere before, but thanks for the reminder GE2. What a beautiful image! But here's a conundrum: He sleeps so deeply that he sleepwalks, and now we'll all have insomnia picturing it!
