Yep, the stripes did it for me Judy!! He was abandoned on a Sunday, adopted/re-homed on the Monday. Basically, the moment I first saw him!! What can I say?......I'm a sucker for stripes (and tabbies).  |

As some of you know, I lost my darling Grumblebum a little while ago, and it's been very lonely and quiet without a pusscat around, so I knew it wouldn't be long before I heard the sound of little paddy-paws again...... So let me introduce my new furry companion:  Hello! My username is Tabbytabs, and I'm a new member. I'm sure I'm going to be a great fan of Rufus (not that I have much choice; my human is forever playing his DVDs when she should be fetching my biscuits : , but my other interests are chasing pingpong balls, eating plants, throwing up hairballs and chasing moths in the middle of the night (my human isn't too fond of the last two, for some reason...) - oh, and leaving cat hair wherever I can. (She's not happy about that one, either  )
I'm a little bit nervous of going outside, and I dislike sudden movement, loud noises, being expected to kill spiders (don't mind chasing them, though) and being kept waiting for my dinner.
Nice to meet you all!
Now sorry, must dash - just heard the sound of a tin being opened.... Darn! Turned out to be three streets away!  And I'm soooooo hungry. MIAOW, GE2! |

Thank you, Kygal. Poor Grumblebum was ill for quite a while, and I was very sad when I lost her. Yes, she was very special and I do miss her, very much. Tabbytabs is doing a great job of cheering me up, though. And she's training me very well, too!  |

GE2 - I am so sorry to hear about Grumblebum's passing. But Tabbytabs is just adorable. I'm sure she'll keep you on your toes.
Edited to add: was looking at Tabbytabs pic and couldn't figure out why she looked so different, almost odd. Then MY cat came strolling in and I realized what it was. Tabby's face is angular, she's obviously sleek and svelt. My cat is...not. Hmmm, someone may need to go on a diet.

Tabby's face is angular, she's obviously sleek and svelt. My cat is...not. Hmmm, someone may need to go on a diet. LOL! She looks small face-on, Rachel, but she's not really - she's really heavy! I think she's settled in, though  :

The only proper response to that picture is "Awwwwwwwwww!" Makes me want to rub her tummy. But if she's anything like Lucy and Ethel, trying that would be dangerous. |
