What a very good description francesca!!!! Yes, i downloaded this one along with Nick Silver and have been quite useless for several days!!! There is certainly something hypnotic about the spoken word, especially when that word is spoken by a certain husky voice

LOL, very true, francesca! His voice is just so seductive. I can't even imagine what the effect would be (on me, anyway) if he ever recorded an entire book of poetry. Probably a complete inability to function.

As roofsewell.com is no more, would anyone have another link to download this?

Hi KMK, You can go to youtube and type in "ode to a beautiful nude reading by rufus sewell"..... (I suggest you rest your head on a fluffy pillow....soothing, seducing....etc....etc....)

Oh yes, I've found that But I'm looking for an actual mp3 file (or someone to tell me how to make one from the youtube version, if that works - I'm not too well versed in stuff like that).

KMK, while you're not too well versed, I am just simply not versed at all... ;D Every time I'm reading a thread that contains all of those HiTech jargons, I'm amazed and thought ...we can do that? My next plan is to got an IPod or any of those thingy out there so I can download his readings among fav songs.... (see how exited I am as if it was just invented yesterday...)

I haven't yet got an iPod or the like either ... still burn the stuff to CDs and use an old Discman May have to change that though with so much Rufus audio input around.

I think it's well worth it to invest in an mp3 player to have Rufus whispering in your ear as you work out, do housework, go for walks, go to sleep, etc. I highly recommend his narration of the book Joseph Andrews. In the past, I've used youtube downloader to save and convert you tube files. download.cnet.com/YouTube-Downloader/3000-2071_4-10647340.html I haven't used it in about a year, but it did work at the time. And if someone as nontechnical as I can do it, anyone can probably manage.

The Andrews book will be the next one I'll get hold of. Have already listened to two of his Bond audiobooks (I'd seen them at my library don't-know-how-many times and never really got interested - until I spied the magical name on the cover ) and simply loved them.

I think you'll really enjoy it. It's very funny, and he uses a wide range of voices.

I've already installed ExpatShield and iTunes because of him ... and I'm quite sure my next bigger buy will be a mp3 player!

I'm not sure I'd have him whispering in my ear while I'm in the kitchen though, Rueful....I'll cut myself, burn myself or worse: the family dinner wouldn't taste right ;D ;D

LOL! I'm easily distracted in the kitchen too! Luckily, my family is now used to it and has been trained to enjoy all their food "well done."
