How come we didn't notice?! ;D He opened the Rose Theatre at St Mary's School, Ascot, on 4 July this year: After drinks and picnics in the sunshine, the first of two Gala Performances was held to celebrate the official opening of the Rose Theatre by Mr Rufus Sewell. Mr Sewell congratulated the school on such a superb facility, and then performed a short extract from Arcadia expertly accompanied by Marina Windsor, Year 11.www.st-marys-ascot.co.uk/news/default.asp?storyID=10&nid=2&pid=1

GE2, Thank you so much for finding this .... how did you I know that members of the entertainment world shy away from associating themselves in any way from religious institutions. I am very impressed that Rufus chose to partake in this event. He was willing to offer his time and talents to this special event. It is evident that he is not only open minded but also a very classy man. I humbly state, "May God bless you, Rufus".

GE2, once again How do you find these things? (Oh, yes, I remember you told me you would never tell... I was just trying ) As involved in the educational sistem I am gladly impressed when public personalities give their support to educational institutions, being these public (don't know if it is said like this, I mean the ones depending on the state) or private. It is specialy significant when is not a matter of the medias being there, as it seems in this case. The pic,... he looks great, as always (now just thinking about starting a campaign to build a theatre at our school... maybe that could bring him here)

I too am impressed that rufus chose to give his limited time off to this school and its children especially as it was not open to the media . A kind and generous man

What a kind and generous thing for Roof to do! (And notice the future Rufus Sewell message board member gazing adoringly at him from behind!)

LOL! Even plaster animals are drawn by Rufus's magnetic personality.
What a great find. You are amazing, GE2.
Is it wrong for me to be so envious of a Year 11-er, whatever that is?

It means she's 16, or was then. She's actually Lady Marina Charlotte Alexandra Katharine Helen Windsor, a member of the Royal Family!

I wondered if she might be a royal with Windsor as her last name. I'll bet the adults around her let that 16 year old know how lucky she was to get a chance to act with someone of his talent. Paying forward the Judy Dench visit to his school is he? Good for him! Just when we think we couldn't possibly love and admire him more...

GE2 , even if I really can't understand how that is slipped out of your radar! BTW - he looks definitely handsome and charming with that beard! and I think he enjoyed that event very much.

GE2 - Thank you for another great find. What an opportunity at the age of 16 to perform opposite Rufus, I'm sure that all of you ladies would jump at the chance, even if you couldn't get the words out properly once you were standing next to him! ;D

I knew he was lovely but just how lovely is that. It proves that he isn't just being an Actor for the glory like some other actors.
