It's Sunday so my mum was coming to lunch today. thought I would have a quick dust around . OMG!!!!! It was just as well I did ... if she had seen it . not a thin genteel layer but thick ,black not dusted for days weeks .The sort you could write your name in . Question ...Is this a sign of further degeneration into addiction .. or Or am I using the forum and Roofie as an excuse to develop into a bit a slut Answers please but sorry no prizes

I think whatever you do is much more exiting than dusting, you're perfectly insane! ;D Then, if the option is Roof, there is not competition, IMO.

As one who has never "twittered" (is that even the correct word) nor texted on my phone, you have no need to feel this way. I'm on the other side of the spectrum. Do they have a texters anonymous or some other 12 step plan?

Ok i have to report on my latest step down the ladder of degeneration!!!! I have started watching Gossip Girl (!!!!!) because there is a character in it called Rufus - and i love it when they say his name - which they do - a lot. The other night he made a cellphone call to someone and when they looked at the screen it said "Rufus Calling" - and i sighed. There, i've said it.

Imagine how I feel, Numbat - I occasionally work with somebody called Rufus, and the other day had to go through an entire conversation with a colleague about him while trying not to smile as I thought of the "real" one - not easy!!

I have just got my breath back after reading Numbat's posting on 11th hour "Rachel and Jacob". I have rolled around on the floor drumming my heels , chewing the sleeve of my cardy to shreds.. moaning...: I have to say this is not for the genteel high-minded literary ones amongst us who only admire Mr Sewell's talent and have no interest in any other ..um....attributes he may have. I used to be like that..I am no longer ;D... and I know which is most fun!!!!! ;D ;D Proof of further degeneration .... I have loaded that url onto my favourites Kerry, don't know how you found it and I will not ask but you my dirty minded twin and the author both deserve a medal

I have two guily pleasures. One is watching America's Nect Top Model, my sister has warned me on more than one occasion that continued viewing will rot brain cells. Not liking the thought of that. But the show is like a train wreck you can't but help watch these vacuous very hungry young women slug it out and bad mouth each other. It's an experience. The other is yet another reality show, but one I will not watch again, "Housewives of NYC" a friend told me to watch, (my first mistake) that was twelve weeks of my life I'll never get back. These women are awful and I won't be tuning in for the sequel.

I read with interest Rueful 's comment about me being Jeckyl amd Hyde .I thought I do not know the person she is writing about but it made me think and I realised that while I thought I had reached rock bottom previously in my Rufus degeneration, I still was sliding further . " Yes I am those other things she remarked on. I am that "sweet maternal person so happy and proud of her little dancer " I am that sensible 39 rushing at the speed of light to 40 year old wife and mother.I I hold down a responsible job, am kind and caring(I hope) I go to Church I belong to the PTA BUT Whenever I can , whenever it is possible, yes sometimes neglecting things I shouldn't , I slip away from that light pleasant world into my other dark world. No not Jeckyl and Hyde more like Alice. Yes ,that's it .Frannie through the monitor screen. I can be 5' 8 not 5'2 ..if i want to I can be blond or a redhead or dark but not as I am, blending the grey with expensively acquired streaks. not wearing my glasses without which I cannot see further than the end of my nose. I can be rude and naughty ( and funny ,I hope ).insult people. Have friends whom some people may say are imaginary, as I do not know them ,who or where they are. I can be 2 stone lighter and adventurous and best of all have a VDFL and he is mine. With his black curls and green eyes ,"goofy smile"gorgeous body, his hands .And the voice that makes shivers of delight run down my spine. He is mine All mine. Dippy , GE2 and Rueful and if I have to defend that, I will , with violence, if necessary ( Yes me ....me who wouldn't say Boo to a goose ,let alone threaten anybody .) So there you are! that's how further I have fallen. Into the abyss. Yes, that's me Alright, Jeckyl and Hyde if you like. And if you don't like it.........TOUGH.

Frannie, Frannie, Frannie. In the States, "Jekyll and Hyde" is a compliment, a term of endearment. We love people who say one thing and then turn around and do another. Look at our politicians. No one will vote for anyone who's not a big fat lying cheater. All of the various Frannies are welcomed and loved, even violent, deluded Frannie, because she's the funniest one of all! But GE2's right. He's still not yours.

I agree with everything Frannie said ( apart from the fact that Rufus is mine not hers!!!). I am mother, wife, church goer, PTA member and yet I love the fact that I am a different person on here and you are all my friends. I have images in my head of how you all look as I am sure you have of me. I just hope your version of me is prettier, funnier and thinner then the real version.
