Sometimes it's nice to get a non-fangirly perspective on Rufus. I found this on the IMDB message-board for Rufus, posted today: by Sofistali 4 hours ago (Tue Feb 9 2010 08:02:55)
I saw him this weekend at Chateau Marmont. He doesn't come across scary in person, just kind of hyper and bouncy and way, way cute. Then I googled Chateau Marmont + Rufus Sewell, and found this in the list of hits (can't access the original blog): 22 Mar 2007 by Maya Singer the last time i was there, “desperate housewives” player dougray scott and i shared cigarettes and music talk over the sunset boulevard view while his apparently very hungry friend rufus sewell proceeded to eat my dinner. ... Doncha just love him?! (Well, he did say his natural energy is close to Petruchio's!)

trawling Rufus.com the other night I came across a quote from Rufus about himself which seems to fit in with the above comments . He remarked that he didn't think he was good looking and " that his friends if asked to point him out, would not say the goodlooking one over there but that twit in the corner making a fool of himself" .
Don't you love him!!

kind of hyper and bouncy and way, way cute I love this description! No matter how successful he's become, he's always on the lookout for free food, isn't he?!?

Chateau Marmont is a favourite haunt of Blog Babe, so he might be popping up in her blog in the not to distant future and hopefully some pics will also appear! (fingers crossed)

while his apparently very hungry friend rufus sewell proceeded to eat my dinner. There's a man after my own heart. I am known to eat everything in sight at parties. And no, it's not that I am overweight but when the food is free, the allure is too strong

Ahh, didn't think I could like him any more than I already do, but that description is so lovely and the one long ago (but never forgotten) time I saw him I noticed his bouncy side, he seems to genuinely love his work.

I love it!!! He comes across as uber sexy & sophisticated when he stares down the barrel of that camera, but we know that underneath he's just tigger. Could we possibly love him any more?

but we know that underneath he's just tigger. That has my vote for Description of the Century, Numbat! ;D When I was in my Patrick Swayze fan-phase many moons ago, I often read how animated and full of energy he was in interviews, just like Rufus, and one journalist described Patrick as "bouncing around like Tigger on speed" - that sounds like Rufus to a T!!
