I nearly fell off my chair when I saw that pic, didn't even see the woman behind him. He's far pettier than she is. Good things come to those who wait. Wonderful news for him, Lord knows he deserves some really great projects. He looks absolutely beautiful.

Had to look again, closer this time and didn't even realise the "woman" was Jolie (no slouch).

Just saw on Yahoo rumors that Depp is trying to get out of this film. Anyone know if there is any truth to that or it is just complete BS?
It must be exciting for Rufus to get to travel to wonderful cities like Paris and Venice for his work--esp. for a smaller roles where possibly there is actually some down time for non-leads to do sight-seeing walks. Getting paid to work in cool places that you could check out in the off time. That would be livin' large in my book! Of course for the leads, they probably concentrate on catching up with some zzz's on the off days.
Funny you guys mentioned his royal blue pants--the first thing I thought (after yuk! that is) was, man! those look seriously cheap and extremely itchy. Hope they weren't and he didn't end up with a rash. That would not be fun. Especially if then one felt compelled to relieve such an itch, thereabouts, and, god forbid standing near Angelina Jolie! People could get a very wrong impression. And worse yet, it could end up on film. Ha ha.

You are correct rufluvr. Yahoo has Depp trying to get out of the film and the film maker trying to give the role to either Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio. I do not see Leonardo DiCaprio doing anything with Angelina Jolie. So if it is true perhaps it will go to Brad Pitt.

Mmmmm, well if the reports are right and Vanessa Paradis wants him off the movie because of the love scenes with Jolie, that must make for some doozy "discussions" in their house!!! Surely she knew what the movie was going to involve before he started filming it!!!

Why doesn't the film company swap Johnny and Rufus's roles? Johnny could have the small, cool role and then Rufus could then be the leading man. Surely they can see his talent! I'm sure he could fit it in with filming Vendetta somehow

On IMDb (for what its worth) they have Rufus listed as the English man. Others are listed as agents and officers. Still a mystery.

Anyone who has registered with IMDB can ask for info to be added, though (although there is a lengthy form to fill in), so that could be just a guess. (And, no, it wasn't me who asked them to add it!)

Well i guess Rufus at least gets to use his real voice rather than an accent if he is the english man!!! I suppose it would be too much to hope for for him to be the elusive criminal & former lover that she is tracking down!!

Rufus and him can relive old times, when they were filming AKT!! (Or maybe not. Rufus had some wild parties going on in those days, by all accounts! )

I think I read somewhere that the criminal/ex lover never actually appeared in the original film.

Oh, do hope Rufus isn't a baddie.

I am hoping that there will be a little more Rufus in this. And I stick to my original prediction. He is not a baddie but he is not survivor. I have just begun Aurelio Zen. And I believe this character will be wonderful for Rufus. No spoilers here.
