I've a feeling that it's going to be a small part. And I think that he can certainly pull off playing a baddy in a more contemporary setting. Less of a charicature of villians in past roles. There's something about those eyes. In a moment sweet and vulnerable and then in an instant cold and calulcating.

This should be a fun film--I love spy/romance/thrillers. So funny that someone mentioned the director is the one who directed "The Lives of Others" since I finally saw that only a few weeks ago and liked it very much. The acting was excellent--the overall storyline was engrossing; the ending, well, a bit odd in some ways, good in others, but could have been better written.

A girl who works with me who knows I like RS mentioned that she had seen him in a preview when she was at a movie last week. I mentioned he was filming with AJ and she said that was it! I was unable to quiz her at the time. Thought it was early to show a trailer of the The Tourist. Maybe that was what we saw in the short clip. I did get excited that he would be in the trailer...may be a more significant role, even if small, than we think. Still she could have gotten things mixed up...may try to quiz her more next time I see her.

I will try to find out more when I see her. As I said...I thought it was a bit early for a preview for this movie. But my thoughts were if RS was in the preview...maybe his role is pretty significant...well his role is always significant to us...but you know what I mean.

Dreamer I sincerely hope this is not true. The director is not supposed to be very good and with all the good stuff why should he do something that is not going to be very good at all.

This story about Rufus making "the Ushers " keeps surfacing regularly despite constant denials from Rufus . Wonder where the rumours keep coming from.

If Rufus is denying it than perhaps the producers are keeping it alive, I believe him if he says he is not doing it. It is not a wise career move at this time
RAI help!!!!

I don't know if this is odd or not. Sometimes scenes are taken out if sequence and perhaps the producers have something up their sleeve. Rufus did say the role was small but cool so perhaps the producers are just trying to get mileage out of the actors for publicity. I believe after the fuss the actors will appear but once again perhaps only for a few scenes. That is why I voted for Aurelio Zen.

Got a chance to talk with my coworker who excited my into a frenzy when she had mentioned she saw a preview at the movies of The Tourist and saw RS. She now says she eighter saw it as a preview at a movie or on tv while working out at the gym. She did not pay enough attention to be able to give me any details...so my guess is she saw it on an entertainment tv program. Well at least part of his part was on somewhere!

I saw an advert this weekend for extras to audition in Pirates of the Caribbean in Hawaii 24 and 25 April. Now assuming Johnny Depp is filming it sounds like a tight schedule if the Tourist is filming until the end of May. Perhaps if there was any truth to the Yahoo rumours, a clash in filming schedules is probably far more likely to be the real reason he'd try to get out of the Tourist.
