I think the people invloved in this show really felt it was going to have CSI or NCIS type success. Very expensive show to produce, high quality(but stupid) tv people involved, and wonderful actors. CBS won a bidding war over ABC to "purchase" the series paying millions.
Bottom line...it was mis-managed. You would think with all the above the show would have been handled differently(promotion, better writting to name a couple).
Still the show did manage to win its time slot, be in the top 20 each week and have over 12 million viewers. Think Rufus had anything to do with that?! Still wish they would have given it another season to see how/if it developed. Can you tell I am still a bit mad at CBS.
