Well I just got my new Oprah magazine in the mail yesterday and Oprah listed TPOTE as one of her all-time favorite novels, so here's hoping that this will translate into a guest appearance by the cast on the show!

David Oakes (who plays the man we will all soon hate with a blinding and unending passion, William Hamleigh), has tweeted that he's just wound up an interview for Oprah.com I've checked the website but there's no additional Pillars news that i can see. So it will be interesting to see if they are just going to have online video interviews (as they've had up to now with Ken Follett) or whether they are going to feature something on the show. Either way, they better not leave out Tom!!! Anyone who actually watches Oprah, please keep your ears open for any mentions. We get it delayed by a couple of days here so i'm sure the US people will hear about it first. Less than a month to go now people!!!

Very rarely do I manage to catch an Oprah show, so I'm wondering how often she does shows about "shows" I only seem to remember hearing she had the cast on of a long running show that was ending a while back--but I can't even remember which one! It seems the handful of shows I've caught in the last few years were topical. So I'm wondering if faithful Oprah watchers know how likely it would be that she would feature the Pillars cast. The good news is that it sounds like she is excited about Pillars, and if she wants the show to happen, it will most certainly happen. Very few people refuse to sit with Queen Oprah when summoned (if David Letterman's perennial quips are to be believed- hee hee)

I don't get to see the Oprah show and no doubt it's aired in the uk a couple of years behind the rest of the world in any case. I've looked it up on locatetv.com a handy website to look up what's on in the next few days. Today's episode is on location at the Walter Reed medical centre. Perhaps 1 of you ladies can advise if that is indeed a 2 year old episode. However, if Rufus hasn't already filmed an Oprah interview I can't imagine he'll have time now that Zen has kicked off.

I'm not a big Oprah watcher, but I know that they're done filming for the season. New seasons run from September to June (with many reruns being shown during the season). I went to the part of the website where you request tickets, and found this message: Unfortunately, with Pillars running in July and August, it doesn't seem too likely they'd have a show about it after the fact. Which kills me, because that's the one Oprah episode I would camp outside the studio to see. Still, you never know, and there's a place on the site where you can fill out a form to request "Who Do You Want Oprah to Interview". The form requires personal info. The link is below. www.oprah.com/ownshow/plug_form.html?plug_id=3337311Hey Oprah, I can save the show money by providing accommodations for Rufus at my house!
