Checking in ... wonderful to find this board after being so desperate after the EMS place was taken down. It also made me realize this state of mine. No point in hiding&lurking anymore, the need of the fix is too bad.
I picked Rufus from "In the savage land" ages ago - I have anthropology as my professional side interest (that sounds quite bold, but anyway) so i was an easy target.
Keeping my fingers etc. crossed for the award thing here!

Welcome Meiju - as GE2 says, a great day to join the (new) madhouse, when we are all celebrating our man's success. Have fun!

Welcome and nice to "meet" you, Meiju! I'm somewhat new to this group of people myself, but I am totally loving it here! I hope to see you join in many of our discussions! Michelle

Meiju welcome to the Velvet Revolution!! I did a spot of Anthropology at Uni years ago.. but did Art in the Pacific last year and learned a lot about the Trobrianders and their culture.. so In A Savage Land interested me as well.. anyway I digress..
A most warm welcome..

Thank You all for welcoming me.
Shecreature - really interesting. I have only vague idea about the primitive or pacific, I'm more to theory, cultural studies, spatial etc.
