I was watching a silly flick last night. ' The Lake housewith Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves , but that isn't the point The heroine was watching a black and white film on the tv It was a flim called Notorious with Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman. Now that is the film I would like to see remade with Rufus in the Cary Grant part '

Works for me. There are several Cary Grant movies I like to see remade with RS.

Yes , I agree Kygal,
how about North by North west ,
Charade
To catch a thief
There is Indiscreet too but I think he is still a bit young for that.
Rufus is a worthy successor to all of Cary's dark, yet light films

There is Indiscreet too but I think he is still a bit young for that. Then let him do the others first! ;D I'd really love to see him in something like that.

Still holding out for the remake of the Grant/Hepburn Bringing Up Baby. Really...someone needs to get on this.
Forgot to say I like all the new Avatars.

Oh, YES! I'd love to see Rufus in "Bringing Up Baby". I'd love to see him as Elwood P Dowd in "Harvey", as well. Love that film.

Ummm, YES.
I'm not so sure I agree with Elwood P. Dowd of "Harvey," though. That's mostly because I'm biased in favor of Jimmy Stewart, who I've always been particularly fond of.

Someone's probably mentioned this one before, but I think I'd love to see Roof play Tony Curtis's character in a remake of "Some Like it Hot". Roof looked great in fishnets in TOTS, so why not ? I've no idea who could play Jack Lemmon's character (and I've forgotten their characters' names . Pen

Hello Pen!
I still would love a funny dry adaptation of some of the Marcus Didius Falco books...

Ohhh, me too, KQ! I'm about halfway through reading the Falco series and always picture a slightly younger curly-haired Rufus in the title role. Someone once suggested on Twitter that Olivia Williams would make a great Helena - I agree.

Someone once suggested on Twitter that Olivia Williams would make a great Helena - I agree. Oh yes! I was imagining Rachel Weisz or Jennifer Ehle for that part - but yes Olivia would be great too! It would be a perfect mystery comedy mash up - what with all the great characters, his landlady Lenia the wonderful scheming laundress - his family - his mother, his sisters, all his nephews and nieces, the ghost of his brother - his father the antiques dealer, Petronius his best friend, The Flavians (good dad no good sons) all of it would be perfect. Its Film Noir in Ancient Rome! The deadpan brilliant funny nature of our Rufus as Falco ...sigh... clever funny and sexy! kq PS Could we manage Mark Strong as Petronius - he's a great actor -often cast as a baddy - but he's wonderful and a comic change might do him good! He was in 'T& I' as Wictred.
