So excited my home town is hosting the 2010 WEG in less than 30 days. First time this has been held outside of Europe and we have it. Hope we do it justice. There has been some discussion of over-pricing....typical Americans...haha! I do have my tickets for 3 of the days and hope to enjoy some of the other festivites. Dont know if there are any horse people here. Has anyone been before? Let me know if anyone is comming my way! www.alltechfeigames.com/Oh Rufus...if you are comming...you have a place to stay!

Just found out my other fave Bruce Springsteen has rented a house here from a friend of a friend of a friend for the entire 2 weeks of WEG. And the best part is I know where it is. Now I do promise not to bother him or his family by stalking or knocking on the door...but I do plan on a drive-by! Had to increase my days to attend to 5 because of this...now just think what I would do if Rufus was to come!? Happy Birthday Bruce!

Laughs...I can only assume from the lack of any response or discussion (I did appreciate a pm I got on the subject) that there is little to no interest in the WEG here at the RT. I thought with such an International crowd here there may be. So....I will stop talking to myself and sign-off on my horse park duties and get back to Rufus duties. If anyone does want any WEG info just send me a PM. Oh...thanks to my readers...oh yeah...some of those are me also.

Hey Kygal, Thanks for the link, I love it. But somehow I did not have time to react. My uncle bred horses and preparing them for similar events. Unfortunately, he never reached such a level as this prestigious event. Were you there? Please write me your experiences!

LOL, kygal! This board is a fast moving place with a one track mind, you know! Anyway, you'll have the last laugh when Rufus drops by The Boss's house and then they go out together for a sandwich and get a flat tire right outside your house. Then you can taunt us by refusing to tell us your story. I hope you have a great time!

Thanks so much Stama and Rueful. I was having a pity party this weekend...thought I would at least get a "have a good time". My town has spent 5 years getting ready for this....I have been excited for 2 years ...and have had my tickets for one year....so I am thrilled. Spent last saturday there and will be there this fri, sat and sunday. I will let you know about it Stama after my weekend! Lots of celebrities and royals here. Yes I will get the last laugh if Rufus shows up. I do have my Bruce radar on...as well as a contact at the airport!

Ha Ha...no pity party if he were here! Doubt Rufus has any interest what-so-ever in the WEG. I am usually not so sensitive...raging hormons I guess. Still working on those boots Joyce. Bruce (his daughter rides) hunt in 2 days! Thanks guys!

Hey Kygal - you know where you went wrong. You didn't mention Roof in the title. We have a one track mind you know.
Have a great weekend. I hope you get to meet Bruce. I have a friend that will be very jealous if you do.

Had a great time at the WEG last weekend. Weather was decent. The British team won the Eventing competition and a German rider won the individual...so congrats to them. I cheer for everyone. The US team finished 4th just outside the medals. I think the games have been a success so far. Enjoyed talking to people from all over the world. Did not see BS. Broke my camera, could not figure out how to work my new one (typical tech whiz I am) so I had to take pics on a disposable camera so I dont have any pics to share on line. Still trying to recover from all the walking!

Glad you had a good time. I hope the success will lead to your city getting to host other events.
Sounds like a weekend of Rufus films is in order to give those feet time to recuperate!
