Great, great find. Thanks for bringing it back (I actually think I've never seen it before). Such fun! And hats off to Imogen for not melting into a puddle on the spot I'm with rueful on the Tom/Frank relationship being one of the most interesting points of the movie. I love how Rufus glares at Tom when he manages to grab a cab without any effort while he himself gets ignored.

A "Random Girl" story is coming. Or rather an anti-tabloid rant is coming. It was posted yesterday as an answer to the question of "What is the most false thing you have heard about yourself?" forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?p=75976697"I was identified as Rufus Sewell's "mysterious girlfriend" in a caption of a photo of us in a newspaper years ago. I didn't even know Sewell. In reality: I was walking with my employer towards Charlotte Street Hotel when Sewell came round a corner. My boss recognised and greeted him. We kept on walking toward the hotel with him on my left, me in the middle and my boss on my right. Sewell and my boss chatted a little while I said nothing. Sewell and I didn't even say hello to each other. A photographer somehow spotted us from the hotel, came out and took photos of us. I moved round my boss onto the road. I thought the photographer was only interested in them two. The photographer left us alone once we entered the hotel. Sewell went off to meet with his agent and we went off to meet with the others. The whole thing lasted just a few minutes. And yet, next day, the newspaper cropped my boss out of a photo, to make it seem as if Sewell and I were alone together. It claimed we were dating and that we were on the way to a restaurant. A "source" claimed that we were so in love that marriage was on our cards. What the actual ****? That photo and claim got so many people emailing, phoning and asking me about our grand affair. Former school friends I hadn't seen or heard for years got in touch, too. Some didn't believe me when I said I didn't even know him. They thought I was lying to protect our so-called secret relationship. The worst part was when my mum rang me in tears, scolding me for hiding this wedding from her. This mess lasted about a month until people forgot my existence." This is a rant, so the style has to be dramatic, but the "Sewell and I didn't even say hello to each other." line sounds slightly rude. Let's add a hello...Hello, Rufus!

You would have thought the boss would at least introduce them. Thanks Adina.

It's no fun when people make up lies about you, but perhaps she was a bit dramatic on this topic lol.

Funny how it was in the papers, but this is the first we've ever heard about it? One of us would have found this in the intervening time, surely? Unless it was before such things were online, of course. Anyway, I agree about her complaining - but if it's true, methinks she doth protest too much... Thanks, Adina!

Sewell and I didn't even say hello to each other. i] This is a rant, so the style has to be dramatic, but the "Sewell and I didn't even say hello to each other." line sounds slightly rude. Let's add a hello...Hello, Rufus! I agree with everyone's comments on this rant Yeah Yeah! No -one saw this though it was ' in all the papers' Yeah yeah , I think the lady does protest too much as well. Lastly.... Do we really believe that Rufus, who everyone says is the most courteous and friendly of souls, did not even acknowledge her? Sorry lady, no way!! Now a private rant. Maybe it's old fashioned , but I hate people who call others by their surnames. How rude. If she did not feel she knows Rufus well enough to call him by his first name, what is wrong with calling him Mr Sewell?? OK ... rant over.

Not really sure where to put this, if anywhere at all, but I just came across the following, and guess who it made me think of .... Guardian Book Club: John Banville on Philip Marlowe Thursday 5 February 2015, 7:00pm - 8:30pm The Tabernacle , London, W11 2AY "Maybe it was time I forgot about Nico Peterson, and his sister, and the Cahuilla Club, and Clare Cavendish. Clare? The rest would be easy to put out of my mind, but not the black-eyed blonde . . ." John Banville resurrected Raymond Chandler's private detective, Philip Marlowe, for his 2014 novel The Black-Eyed Blonde. Set in Los Angeles, in the early 1950s, it begins with a visit from a beautiful, elegant heiress, Clare Cavendish, in search of her former lover. All of the essential noir elements are here - a murder, the powerful family with hidden secrets, the sleezy bars and mean streets of LA, and at its centre Chandler's wisecracking and world-weary sleuth. Banville will talk to John Mullan about writing his own Philip Marlowe mystery, the genius of Raymond Chandler and the enduring appeal of one of the most iconic private detectives in crime fiction. Running time: 90 minutes, no interval. Discussion with audience Q&A followed by book signing. link see what I mean ... film anyone? ....

Since Jacob Hood was already a citizen of my country...I would say Zen. Hood and Zen would be perfect for me!
