Starting a new thread, because new member Neveragain wondered if anyone was attending this event, and I didn't want the question to get lost. Note that it doesn't say Rufus is attending--it says he's participated in the past. Since he's doing the Q&A the next night, at least we know he'll be in town. Anyway, any of you London gals going? Hi Everyone. I'm new to the board and I was just wondering if anyone was going to The Old Vic , Sunday the 21st of November to see the 24 hour plays celebrity gala. Below is the link : www.oldvictheatre.com/whatson.php?id=73Sorry I don't know how to hyper link it. Thanks.

Having just got back from a weekend in London I'm not returning until next Monday morning so I won't be around when this is on.
It's funny as nicole was going to the Old Vic theatre yesterday (Sunday) evening - I wonder if it was a similar event.

Thanks Rueful for moving the post for me I didnt know quite where to put it. Yes, I was thinking the same thing, that since he is in town he might do this. I was hoping somebody may have already purchased a ticket and can tell us who is in the line-up. I noticed that it hasnt been announced yet on the website. I might take a walk past the old vic and see if there are any posters up.

I went to "The Childrens Monologues" which was a brilliant event on stage with fabulous actors. Later I was invited to the After-Show-Party as a guest and I met two of the actors which have been part of the cast. These two brilliant actors have been Eddie Redmayne and Sir Ben Kingsley. I stood nearly the whole time with Ben Kingsley and his wife and two or three other people and then Eddie Redmayne came to us and he and another man and I were talking. Or it was more Eddie who talked (with hands and feet, that was so funny because he was so full of energy). He was very kind and polite and introduced himself to me. Benedict Cumberbatch joined us for a little while but only to catch a drink from the bar behind us. The Old Vic is a wonderful theatre and I wish I can come back to London to see Rufus on such a wonderful stage. That would be great. Hearing his voice all the time and watch him perform live. Can't wait that this will become reality. Hopefully next year.

Nicole, how lucky were you, did Eddie mention TPOTE or Rufus by any chance? ;D I might take a walk past the old vic and see if there are any posters up. Why don't you join us on Monday?
