Wasn't he terrific? Loved how he corrected Phil Williams for calling him "Rupert" - couldn't you just imagine his eyebrows shooting up? ;D
Frannie, the Radio 5 interview should be up later on their website to listen to. (Oops, just saw that Rueful has laready indicated that!) Glad you liked the transcript of the BBC Breakfast interview.

Thanks for that info, Rueful! Listening at work is kind of challenging even though there aren't a lot of people around here today. The ones that are managed to stop by my office enough times to annoy me! Loved hearing that Roof flies from LA to London every three weeks to see Billy. He must have an amazing amount of frequent flier miles.

The interviewer was good. You could tell he was touching on the main points his research turned up, but he also knew when to follow up on a comment Rufus made.
So let's hear the confession: Who was the Rooftopper who offered to let Rufus sleep on her couch?

Yes indeed. Which of you hussies goes by the name of Elizabeth and is 32 years old? I sent an e-mail to Phil wishing Rufus a Happy New Year. I hope he at least passed the message on.

I save videos from on line using this program keepvid.com/It doesn't work on all sites, but it's worth a try. I tried to listen to the radio interview last night, and I literally heard about 5 words of the intro and my internet went down. Hopefully tonight it will work! Love the transcription....wish I could have seen it.

Yes, that was a really good interview - I thought I would download it like I did the Midweek show but just checked the podcast listings and it seems they're only going to have the first 45 mins with that comedian available to download - not fair!!! Why can't they put the whole show up? Boo
Still - will listen again on i-player

I'm not finding today's program on the podcast listing. Yesterday's is the most recent, so maybe it will turn up tomorrow. I didn't even realize that was a possibility, so thanks Cazbaz! www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/dailybacon

Thanks for discovering the bbc breakfast interview! And even though it's online it's nice to read the transcription - makes you "listen" even better.
Yes, he did look relaxed, didn't he? I liked the jacket.
I managed to download the interview, after some false starts, so if anyone wants it, let me know.

Hi Rueful
I've just checked the podcast listings on itunes - the one from today is there but it's not got Rufus' bit in it - looking at the previous podcasts they appear to edit the programme and put up 'the best interviews' of the show - Now I do not consider that comedian's interview the best bit at all!! What are they thinking? I am not impressed....
So unless I'm wrong, make sure everyone that you listen to it on i-player!

Oh no I just went to listen to it again on i-player and it's saying that it's not going to be available (at all) due to 'rights restrictions' - what was in the programme to warrant that I wonder??

Photo from the show. Maybe there was just a delay in the iplayer, Cazbaz. Here's a link to the listen again page (with the above pic too). www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00wsqqrAbout the podcast, I see what you mean about the comedian's interview being posted already. But I'll check again tomorrow just in case. Maybe if enough of us send feedback to request it, they'd put it up.
