Have fun here, Lin - this is a really friendly and funny place! Taming of the Shrew is one of my favourites too. What did you think about A man of no importance? Interesting film....poigniant. Himself was particularly beautiful. Suddenly realised, he does a lot of enthusiastic kissing in many of his films.( Please can I be in the next one?) The film, AMONI, covered a lot of difficult themes. It left me feeling a bit sad.

Thank you all so much!! What a lovely friendly bunch. My 'Gone to seed' is actually a VHF tape - luckily, my player still plays. I have Middlemarch, never saw C.C. Farm, or The Woodlanders. I'd like to get Higher Love, and C.C.Farm, but am not working at the moment, so will have to wait. Does anyone know if 'Dr,Syn' is available on CD? Zen is ....Mmmm...

Does anyone know if 'Dr,Syn' is available on CD? I don't think it's out on CD, but I know someone on this board must have the .mp3 files of the first two series and will share! (I'm pretty sure I have them on my computer at home, but I'm not sure. I'll need to check.) I do have the third (and last) series "The Last of Dr. Syn" stored on my Dropbox. I'll e-mail you an invitation to access the folder and you can download the files. "Oh, here's to the feet that have walked the plank, Yo ho! for the dead man's throttle, And here's to the corpses floating round in the tank, And the dead man's teeth in the bottle." ;D

HaHaHa ! You're all mad...and I love you. Thanks, Judypatooty, that's really kind. I must work out how to do it. I've managed to listen to bits of all three series, but seemed to be at work when the repeat bit came on. Only found i-player after they had all finished. Bam-bam-bam.( hitting head on table) (I could hear him singing it ;-) )

Thank you so much, Judy. I curtsey to your wonderful skills. The download is complete, and I had the horror of listening to random sentances, until my lovely friend N. said 'quick, turn off the shuffle facility'. Then the sublime joy of hearing the rasping tones of our favourite. Bliss!!!! Many friendly hugs.

I have listened to 'Arcadia' three times over the last week.....I just love it!!. I also listened to 'Nick Silver' just before bed on thursday, elevenish. Well, it was gone three before I got to sleep! Just soooo sexy. Rueful has my undying gratitude. My Mother told me that I drove her mad when Cold Comfort Farm was on TV. MDH and I didn't have TV at that point, but apparently I was at the parents' place in time to watch every episode. I don't remember that. !*!
