Had a lot of problems today both earlier this evening and now 1a.m Earlier I logged on , scrolled down to thread only to find I had become a 'guest ' several times when at last I manage to type a thread , it would disappear when i tried to post it . Gave up and came back now . I could not log on at all using internet explorer !! Switched to google chrome and logged straight away and came straight onto this thread perhaps it is IE which is problem  ? |

I don't think so, Frannie, it can't be just IE, cause KMK mentioned problems with Firefox, and I'm using Firefox as well.

I am still having problem of logging on scrolling down then Becoming a'guest'.
Has anybody else had this and how can I 'cure 'it.

I haven't had any trouble in IE since I came back from vacation, but Firefox is driving me mad at home - the page keeps getting stuck in the loading process. I have a feeling that it's the ads that cause the problem. Maybe an ad-block-related problem ...

Using the Firefox, I sometimes have the same problems like you KMK, - but not too often.
What's more nerve wrecking to me is that sometimes when you click on the preview button, afterwards you cannot post your reply or pm any more, but you have to open a new window and transfer your text to it and only then it works.

I was having problems posting last night. The Proboards Support Board indicated there was a server problem.

I'm having trouble posting today. Sometimes a page loads, sometimes it doesn't. The Proboards support board says, "Slow Loading Pages. We are aware of loading issues on some forums at this time."
So if anyone else is having trouble, the might be the issue, and not your computer. If you write a long post, you might want to copy the text in the text box before you click "post reply," so you don't lose it.

Now that you mention it: it took quite some time to get logged in today. And a couple of days ago I was logged in and then the homepage froze. I decided to log out and go one step back - and suddenly I was again logged in without any more attempt from my side! And everything worked as smooth as usual - that's why I forgot about this incident until today.....  |

I've had a few slow moments on the board in the last couple of days, but nothing dramatic (it did make me laugh that it happened when I clicked on this thread ;D ).
