This is a fun movie club series on youtube (sort of like a book club but with movies) that uploads new reviews every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday where a group of movie-lovers come together with video reviews of movies watched over time. The movie to watch from this past week was A Knight's Tale and, although there's no mentioning of Rufus ( ) there are a couple of quick moments where he is shown, and I think it's a great review of the film over-all. Be warned, there is some language: www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlrNTo5gXks

Intersting. May have to go back and see if I noticed these.

'.Just finished watching the movie on DVD, the extended version with the topless scene, hooray. I have somewhat mixed feelings about it, not enough Rufus for a start and too much jousting for my taste, although very cleverly done. I too would like to see Rufus play Geoffrey Chaucer, especially the nude bit. Don't know much about Heath Ledger, too young for me, but I was quite impressed with his role, especiaally when he goes back to his fathers house as an adult, it brought a tear to the eye for a moment. The music was certainly unusual, but it did seem to fit the time period somehow. All in all, a better film than I expected except for the lack of Rufus. My DVD didn't have any deleted Rufus scenes in the extras, there must be a lot of different versions in circulation, will check out the link mentioned earlier. Now it's time to get back to reality, my cats are pacing restlessly, looking for their tea, so I dare not keep them waiting, see you all again soon, Janet

I bet you wouldn't mind the amount of jousting if Rufus hadn't been wearing that armour? (I know I wouldn't!)

Ahah
A new sport ! Strip Jousting in Pudding! All lances will be tipped with pillows and the Ladies of the Rooftop get to clean up our dear Aldehmar...
I dread seeing this film as I love Chaucer and fear the hinted at musical interlodes (Golden Years? We will Rock You?) Oh dear....

Well, it's certainly not historically correct and the crossover elements like the anachronistic music won't be everybody's cup of tea, but I liked it as a bit of silly over-the-top feel-good fun. Not to mention that Monsieur le Comte looks ravishing in black!
