It don't know if this will help but I have e-mailed Left Bank Productions to let them know that there are many Zen fans who are wishing them luck.
The e-mail address I found is: info@leftbankpictures.co.uk

It might be the cost of working & filming in Rome that would be one of the reasons that Zen got axed, but still it doesn't feel right.
I was also thinking of writing to Left Bank telling them what a great job they did with Zen. I really hope it will be picked up by another network. Although it means I won't be able to see it, from Belgium, and have to get the DVD. But if Zen will be keeping the same quality, I'll be happy to buy it without seeing it.
Earlier in the week I absolutely feel gutted. With a serie this good you don't expect that it will be swept off the table.

I'm sorry, but I have to cry. What a rubbish week!! My elderly dog nearly died. I broke a tooth, and had to have major dentistry. Had to have a new tyre, after a puncture. Then this. I am appalled at the decision to cancel further Zen. My suggestion, and I will be doing this, is to write to the Chief Controller of the B.B.C. Once again, the programs which appeal to intelligent women are being withdrawn, to fit in the rubbish which mainly appeals to men, ie Football, football, 'reality' shows, competitive anything shows, football, so-called 'comedy' shows, stand-up 'comedy' (almost completely male), soaps, bought-in American shows , I could go on (and no doubt will). I was relieved to hear that Rufus is as sanguine as ever. What a relief that he is so sensible. And Yes, I'd love to send him a hug, too! So sorry to rant, but I had not heard the news until I read it here.(wiping tears off the keyboard! )

@dippy, thanks for the email address for Left Bank Pictures. I will email them as well. Every little may help! @ Tessa and Lindragon, I have been exactly the same as you for the last few days. Not being able to accept what has happened. Feeling very very sad and not knowing how to come to terms with it! However, we must be positive and hope that with all the positive feedback about Zen it will find another home. Andy Harries is well known and esteemed as a producer that must make t.v. companies listen to him. I hope.

Lindragon, what an appalling week *hugs* It can't hurt to vent your anger at the Beeb!
I'll also e-mail Left Bank Pictures, I think. Maybe it helps.

Thanks, KMK, I needed a hug. And Robella. MDH has just walked in, and had to listen to the rant, too. Oh, dear. Anyway. Such a good series must find a new home. Someone said something about a curse. Well, that would only rebound on the curse-er. But how about a well-wishing? If everyone were to wish, silently, for a TV company to take up the Zen franchise, as-is, at an agreed time. Say, 10 pm GMT, it couldn't do any harm, could it? Yes, I'm bonkers. Anyone want to try?

Straight from the BBC website to form a complaint: (Zen has its own link)
Zen, show decommissioned, BBC One Publication date: 25 February 2011
Complaint
We have received complaints from some viewers unhappy that Zen has been decommissioned.
The BBC's response
BBC Drama has a lot of very exciting projects in development and going forward we have taken the decision to look at some of these new titles, rather than commission a second series of Zen. We've recently --- bla bla bla
We hope that fans of Zen will take to these new dramas in the same way.
Some complaints? Some?! Let's organize a sit-in in front of the BBC. I believe it is right across the Westfield Shopping Center. Methinks that is killing two birds with one stone. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Same general reply to to me posted previous page! I can't believe they give one reason to be another adaptation of "Great Expectation" by Charles Dickens. Ok I know its a classic but it has been adapted a million times and Zen cannot be compared to that. Zen is new and refreshing and exciting and thrilling and what audiences want in 2011! Surely! Still it must help that we and a lot of others are complaining.

Today I could track down my letter to the BBC chairman: now after two days it's only in the international distribution center in Frankfurt - that's why it's called smail mail! But maybe it's an advantage if he receives it when there are already lots of complaints.... lindragon: I'm sorry to hear about the lots of your mishaps of this week <big hug> hope you'll find a nice Rufus film to distract you from all this... @dippy: I'm sorry about your rabbit, must be like losing a family member - and good luck for the washing machine

@dippy: big hug for you too! I guess I don't even need to bother to open my reply e-mail from the Beeb People on the "Zen Casebook" Facebook group are very angry and have also started their complaints, receiving the same bland answer. Still can't believe it. Zen is _so_ good.
