Calling all hairdressers - and there must be some amongst the Rooftoppers.
On the nape of his neck Rufus has a most adorable hair line. It can be seen easily in POTE, Charles II, T&I, Zen etc etc. This is a natural hair line that some men have. It grows that way and is not cut in as a style. My question is, what is that peak/point of hair called? Does it have a specific terms. I know that the peak at the front on the forehead is a widows peak, but what is the nape peak hair line called?
A bizzare request I am sure, but there is reason for my asking.

A tail ? No, I think there is a name but I am not sure what it is. Its noticable in Zen.

Yep kygal, it sure is noticable in Zen.
"It proudly sits elegantly atop a snow starched fresh white collar, teasing and tormenting our souls with its mischievously dark intentions. " HJ
Rufusitis - Yep, I've got it real bad - and I'm loving it. XX

I'm ashamed to say I have never noticed this and I do some pretty thorough perusing of Rufus! I will have to look doubly carefully now. Sorry but I have no idea what it would be called. I only know that I love his hair at the stage it is cut in Zen and in POTE. Not too long for the curls to be curls but just wavy tufts of hair sticking out most everywhere! Oooh! Big Sigh!!

Love his hair in Zen and POTE too robela. (Mega sigh) But check out that nape peak - it's yummy. Gives you a good excuse to watch Zen again etc etc. Not that you need any excuse to watch lovely Rufus XX

My son has one also...we always called it a duck tail...even though it doesn't stick out from his neck like a duck's tail.

rumantic (I love that name) What a cutie your lad must be then. I Googled ducktail and all I got was a hair style definition from the 1950's. Thanks for the thought tho.

He's almost 21 now, and he looks just like his dad (my ex) and not at all like Rufus (pity)....but he's still got the duck tail, and he still gets pi**ed when the barber cuts it off (they square the neckline up with a razor. It just grows back , so what's the point?)
The 50s hairdo...yeah, it's really not like that, but that's still what we call it for lack of a better term.

You can see it in T&I, too, when his hair's shorter. I have no idea what it's called. IS there a name for it?
I just recently cut my hair boy-short and I've got one too, lol

rumantic - yep if I was a bloke, I reckon I'd get reall annoyed if a barber cut that off, cause it's really cute.

Actually my haircut looks terrible, but I wanted to try it so oh well, I'm stuck with it until it grows out. And yes, Lord Marke!

I'm sure your haircut doesn't look that bad annachibi!! If it helps, I had to get my hair cut boy-short because a hairdresser ruined it with razor scissors (grrr), it turned out heaps better than I expected once it settled and I got used to it, but now I miss having long hair too much! Sadly I don't have a ducktail though I love them too!

I was glad when first I saw this thread (thank you Lovethemanrs!) because it proved that I wasn't alone wondering about the thing since T&I.... I've been wanting to run to the barber shop next town over to ask the question but till then I'm happy to refer to it as Rooftail.
