Two wonderful finds. Thank you, wichi and nell! I love that humour of his (and I'm quite certain he did NOT say "winner" ).

Great interview, Nell, thanks. I wonder what he really said where they've put "(mess)"?

LOL! Fun read! I loved "...hurray I can get a new house!" I'm appalled at that story he told about the phone interviewer adding the bit about Rufus running his hand through his hair! Jeez. What idiocy he has to deal with sometimes.

Thanks, nell! I had the same thought about my washing machine the other day. Yay, it broke! I can get a new one! Then reality set in. It is cheaper to fix it than replace it. His comment about being offered roles that he doesn't want to do (in the interview I found) suggests that maybe he didn't really want the role in ALVH but is forced to for money. Personally, I've been waiting for him to do another "bad guy" role.

It is cheaper to fix it than replace it. Pity! I hope our TV set will soon start playing up in a way that forces us to buy a new one. I want that big flat screen finally! I thought the same when I read it. On the other hand it's the kind of unexpected thing he might have fun doing. After all he once said he'd had a wonderful time filming AKT with its "comic-book villain" Adhemar

Thanks, wichi and nell--very interesting articles. Love how his personality always shines through. The guy is not a phony.
I understand that, for his own mental and emotional health, he must accept it and move on when things don't work out, but I still hope if he were offered more Zen he'd accept.
Am I allowed to say that Danny Cohen is an @$$ho1e? Or is that a violation of community standards?

Am I allowed to say that Danny Cohen is an @$$ho1e? Or is that a violation of community standards? Don't know about the latter, but I'm absolutely with you on the first. And still hoping for a chance for Zen to come back. I want those other novels on the screen, too!

I want those other novels on the screen, too! I know! I just reread Dead Lagoon, and I really, really wanted to see that one filmed (although I know they were trying to keep it located in Rome).

Got this one recently from Mr. Kate and will read it after I've finished my current reading. I'm looking forward to Zen back on his old home turf (and to some nice images in my mind ... plus using my new homemade Zen bookmark )

Aww, Mr Kate is a good man. This one was one of my favorites in the series. I hope you enjoy it. (Trying to guess which image is on your bookmark: Zen in his undershirt?)

(Trying to guess which image is on your bookmark: Zen in his undershirt?) Ohhh, that would be a great idea for the back of the bookmark! I've used one of the promotion pics - after cropping off Caterina's half, it had the ideal format for a bookmark:
