This is one of those disasters that just seems to keep getting worse. Aftershocks continue to rock the country, fires are still raging uncontrolled in many areas & of course there has been the explosion of the nuclear power plant. Vision of the devastation is almost unbelievable. A 10m wave travelling at 800kmph is almost unfathomable.
I don't even know how a country recovers from an event like this.
I don't know anyone living in Japan, but if any of you do i sincerely hope they are alright. Here's hoping that no-one in Ami's extended family have been directly impacted.
So sad......

I'm relieved to hear that your family and relatives are okay sewellme. Like numbat says, this is getting worse and worse - especially also with the danger from the nuclear power plant.

Just a question....I thought Ami was Korean....is she Japanese?
Japan is in for a very long, tough time ahead. My heart goes out to them.

This makes all our little moans and complaints seem so trivial.....
I have a faith, sometimes a little shaky but it is there...
I hope and pray that He will help these people in their time of need...

Horrible news from Japan and it seems to become worse by the hour...
I'm glad to hear that seemingly no one of the Rooftop is directly struck by this catastrophe
And the only thing we can do is hope and pray....

Thank you Ladies......
I keep hoping that every time I check on CNN that they have good news on the reactors, I really hope they can be tamed very soon. I hope the survivors who's still need to be rescued can sustain in the below freezing weather. I felt so ashamed complaining about snows on my driveway from inside my house back then' now that I saw some snow falls on the ruins, where people has no where to escape the bitter cold there!

Just about all the little everyday nuisances seem so tiny and trivial compared to what's happening in Japan I'm feeling so sorry for what people have to endure there. Not only all the destruction caused by the natural disasters, the losses and injuries and now the bad weather but also the constant fear and insecurity related to the nuclear power plants. I hope and pray for a miracle to happen ...
