Hi I love the heart montage - very beautiful and creative. I have an idea to try and cover all bases and hopefully allow everyone to contribute to the card in the way that suits them best. How about on the outside front/back of the card there are Lolroofs created by various fangirls who want to be creative. Then on the outside back/front of the card there is the heart montage made with photos that have been sent to Stama Then the inside of the card could contain written messages for those who want to just write a quick greeting to Rufus. It may take a while (sorry card creators Numbat/Stama etc ;D), but the finished article would then truly represent all of us Rufus fans. Lassie x I agree Lassie. There's something there to please everyone. That's kind of what I've been trying to say but you put it so much better. I absolutely agree  ! |

Hey there people I'm just dropping in to advise that numbat has asked me to take over the birthday card project for her this year. I've been thinking for a few days how to approach the subject and I still haven't come up with anything. So I'm just biting the bullet and blurting it out! I'm honoured that she's trusting me with something that's so important to us all and I hope you all will too. I'm hoping none of you mind me taking it on. She's hoping to pick it up again next year when she's not quite so busy. (I'm also quite daunted). There have been quite a few good ideas posted and I think we all have an idea this year of how we'd like to do our own message. So what I'd like to do is try and incorporate as much as 1 card will allow. I thought LOLRoofs for the front, the heart montage for the back with our photo's and our messages inside. If we go for messages that are a maximum of 6" x 4" like last year. Like last year I thought it would be nice if you all chose the theme of your message whether it's a standard birthday greeting, a photo of yourself holding a board, a poem, artwork or whatever. I'm going for the posting by mail of messages again this year as I think it's much more personalised plus I'm not planning on remortgaging my house to but all the ink. Just as long as we remember it is a birthday card and not a declaration of undying love  If there's anything inappropriate I'm affraid I won't be able to include it in the card. So all those that are interested - If you'd like to drop me a pm I'll advise you where to send the message to. Those of you that already have my address (for purposes of sending me regular fan mail  ) please also let me know you're taking part so that I can plan the layout. I hope plenty of you take part this year. Remember it's for our Roof. I'm sure every one of us would like to see another of those lovely smiles like we got last year. Oh and one last thing. Please include with the message which part of the world you are from and I'll include this information on the card too. If you've any questions please either post them on here or send me a pm. Thank you all for your pm's. I'll be working through them tomorrow to try and answer all your questions. I left a few things out. 6 inches by 4 inches is 15cm x 10cm for those of you less old fashioned than me . Can we aim to get all the messages in by the end of July please as it'll take me a while to assemble the whole thing? I'll make sure you all know where to send the messages to by the end of June. That should allow you all plenty of time. I need to speak to Martina about the photo's for the heart montage and how we're going to tackle that. I'll keep you posted.
