I just have to comment on this, , what great voices and accents in this one. I find it remarkable that Rufus does a better Afrikaner accent cold than Leo di Craprio does with an accent coach. ;D (well you know, I've reconsidered that. Actually, no I don't.)

I haven't heard of this project, the only Diamonds are Forever I am familiar with is the James Bond movie.
Is this a project Ru just completed? If so, can you please provide details?
Thanks.

I've just recently received this one and haven't listened to it yet. I did see Blood Diamond a few weeks ago, so I should remember it well enough to hear what you're saying.
I've been trying to collect all of the Flemings/Sewell I can find. A warning to anyone out there doing the same. Don't be surprised if when you order one of these from an Amazon Marketplace Vendor you receive a copy narrated by someone other than Rufus. It's happen to me twice already. I was reimbursed the first time, and am working on getting my money back from the second vendor. Good luck, there aren't many copies available on CD anymore, and even the cassettes are getting difficult to find.

Well, I'd like to add clips from all of them to the website. Unfortunately they aren't all available on CD and I have yet to discover a way to plug a cassette player into my computer--not that I actually have one or have seen one in a while.
I wonder if taking a run at audible is worth it. Last time I tried they told me I couldn't have them because I was in the US.

I have:
Casino Royale Dr. No Diamonds are Forever From Russia with Love Live and Let Die Goldfinger
so I'm missing the other 6 -- not too great actually.

That's pretty good, actually. I can't be of any help, those are the same ones I can get ahold of (except Live and Let Die)

Those are also the same ones I have on CD. Since the cassettes are getting scarce, I am ordering them with the hope of eventually getting them transfered to CD. I'll let you all know if I do. Of course we may also find someone, like audible, so that we can download them. So far I've only found them available to download and 'rent'. I must admit that I haven't researched that as well as I should.

Well I just ordered Moonraker and For Your Eyes Only on cassette. I have no idea how I'm going to play them, but I guess I'll work that out after I get them. What I really need is to figure out a way to convert them to CD or MP3 or any digital format, for that matter.

I think my mom has a "boom box" with a cassette player, now if we could only pry it out of the selfish b*tches hands, we'd have something. ;D Money always works with her. (LOL. Wish I were kidding.)

It's quite easy to convert from cassette to mp3 (aparently!!!) just plug your cassette into the microphone jack of your computer (I suppose getting the cable for that could be a bit tricky) and then play the tape and record it with one of the free applications out there. Personally I use mp3mymp3 but a lot of people use audacity. Both are freeware and can save as mp3 or wav files.

Thank you Quoll that was very helpful.
I spoke to a techie type guy at work today, and he googled convert cassette to MP3 and came up with a description of the type of cable we will need, etc. I thought we could just pull up the info. ourselves. Who Knew??
