Hi Everyone. Here is a link to a Facebook page devoted to Zen tv series and a compaign to get more episodes commissioned! www.facebook.com/DetectiveZenThere is also a link to Twitter: twitter.com/#!/DetectiveZen The page was started by Miachael Chukwuma Mkpadi and he has just asked me to be an administrator as he loves my enthusiasm. I have been making comments and posting pics for ages!!! Please anyone who is loving Zen (as we all do) join this page and add your name in the hope that we can convince the BBC or any other channel about the sheer volume of people who want more Zen made! Lots of people make enthusiastic comments about the programme and lots of people want it back on! Love Robela

That's great, Robela! Congratulations on your "promotion" and thanks for what you're doing to get Zen revived! (I fixed your hyperlinks above so they'll take people right to the correct place when they click.)

Thanks Rue, I hope some people will join this group and add their names to the hundreds who want Zen back!! Hope it goes well in USA and hopefully this will add to the weight of popular appeal!! It is criminal what the BBC have done afterall!!

I think it is not criminal, it is merely stupid, but that is what happens when you let accounting rule where it should't. I was confused between this ZEN Facebook page and another one. But now all is in order. Thanks for the link.

Thanks, robela. I want to ask all our friends form The States to join the Facebook page, if they haven't done that already. Also, if they want, can suggest the page to their friends (only if they like the series). It is always easier to be supportive when you have seen actually the show; here, in some countries in Europe, it is a big effort to promote something that is not broad casted on TV. I am explaining to my friends and family in Bulgaria about the 3 films, and for them, to be able to see and understand,I usually have to find a subtitled online version in internet and send them the link (as most don't speak and understand English)!

With robela we have an answer to one of our requests to have official presentation photos for the series on FB. We are uploading them there, but I will post some here as well, so that we all can feel inspired.

As chocolate has advised we are delighted to have received a response from Ian Thompson Publicity in answer to an email we sent to them and also to Left Bank Pictures. They and Left Bank Pictures have kindly provided us with Official Stills taken for promotion of Zen and have given us permission to post them on our FB pages. There are two pages which are closely linked, the Zen TV page and the Aurelio Zen Casebook page. Both try to promote popularity for Zen the tv series and the books. Although Left Bank Pictures have posted on their FB page that they have no plans for a further run of Zen, we are still hoping that showing in the USA will bring more popularity and more fans and ultimately another production company/or tv channel may take it on! We must stay positive and keep hoping. We have a lot of new followers on FB and Zen is very popular and has a lot of fans. It has been very unlucky for all involved in the making of Zen, that the BBC decided to change its controller and/or the financial climate put a stop to very expensive productions. A lot of work went in to producing such a quality programme and I thank them all for their hard work not least of all the actors involved and Rufus in particular as I think such a quality programme should at the very least have had one more series made. We are very happy that the two companies were happy for us to show these photos, some of which I have not seen before, and to prove that I can do it, I will post another one on the Zen pics thread. Chocolate has already posted a couple for you to enjoy. Thanks to all who have helped us and who are still helping by encouraging everyone to watch Zen and promoting more support for Zen.

Just to add after robela's post, I think that even without another series of ZEN, these three films are good enough screen time for Rufus to really be seen for the quality of an actor he is. Many people who though he was "the bad guy", "the cave guy", or the weird guy, or some sort of a comic-y character, or whatever they though he was, will have the opportunity to meet the very strong and beautiful side of Rufus as Aurelio Zen (here I only hope that people have kept their taste for an old-fashioned cinema art, because Zen will need it in order to be seen in full).
