Hello ladyp, welcome to Rooftop and my girlies... nice to see you here and enjoy this fantastic "crazy" fansite and THINK... THX GOD - NO CURE AGAINST RUFUSITIS & RUFANATIC...
One of my girlies, PGG, loves all of my movies - especially as Petruchio, Tom, Agamemnon, Billy, Charles, Aurelio, Marco, Jacob, Ian and Giles ... and I know she has most of my movies (almost all). ...
Her Rufusites and Rufanatics started with "Dangerous Beauty" 1999 in german TV... and fallen in love to me (lucky man ) -

Hello, ladyp! Welcome on board and nice to have you here. I am from the youngest ones around, and I can say here is a wonderful and very addictive place to be. Share some of your obsession with Rufus with us. If you read some older post here you'll understand what do I mean- tell us how you have discovered Rufus, which movies you've liked so far... (not that you have to, but would be nice!) Of course, all of that if you have time! I am slowly developing my taste for his characters. For now I have to say I am in love with at least four of them: - Mick Carpenter!!! form In a Savage Land - Well, Charles II should be first, but Nick proved very addictive - Aurelio Zen, of course - Tom Builder from The Pillars of The Earth - Petrucio form The Taming of the Shrew! and probably every other character, even the baddies! (you might have guessed, i have very big heart, enough place for all of them) ;D ;D ;D Don't worry about the husband, we all have that or at least boy friends and they are still around . Mine said that I need to think very carefully if I decided to dump him for Rufus. Which of course made me laugh. So, stay inspired and take your time. It is actually very easy to use the board, but you'll get used to it, I am sure. choc (that is tipou's version of my name and I think I love it) stupid me, PGG, how can I forget about my dear Marco from Dangerous beauty!!!

Welcome on board! Have lots of fun discovering this lovely place. If you need help or have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. And as I'm a curious creature, I'd love to hear more about you and Rufus - what are your favourite films and how did you fall in love with our green-eyed wonder? It was "The Pillars of the Earth" that did the trick for me. This made me re-watch "Tristan & Isolde" afterwards, then found "The Taming of the Shrew" on youtube, and an addiction was born ;D My other great favourites are "In a Savage Land", "Charles II", "Uncorked" and "The Woodlanders", and of course I love his TV series, both "Zen" and "Eleventh Hour".

Welcome to the Rooftop, LadyP! I've given up trying to identify which of Roof's many roles is my favorite. Just when I say Petruchio I'll remember Charles II. And then I'll think of Seth Starkadder and Jacob Hood and then Aurelio Zen and Tom Builder and then Thomas Clarkson. At that point, I pretty much give up trying to choose! Enjoy poking around all of the old threads. There is an incredible wealth of Rufus-y goodness here! Judy

Hello and welcome, LadyP! We're very glad you joined us!
Many of us have long-suffering husbands or significant others. The Rooftop is a great place to talk endlessly about Rufus and his roles without getting exasperated sighs in response. If your husband worries about you spending time here, tell him the more you talk to us, the less he has to listen to. ;D
Like the other people who have posted, I don't think I can pick a favorite role. It just shows how versatile an actor he is, that he makes us care about so many different characters.
We'll be happy to help you with any questions you have about the boards. For now, I hope you look around all the threads for discussions, pictures and other media, and games and join in whenever you feel comfortable.

When a lady doesn't understand the rules, they always call the good old Adhemar... Of course... I am leader of the free companies, for God's sake, my army is in southern France... In June everyone should be there… but no, Adhemar can't be on the beach having fun, no, he has to sit on a horse wearing armour from head to toe... Huh... okay, let's start…Ladyp, welcome! I shall educate you. A match is three lances. One point is given for breaking a lance between the waist and neck. Two points for breaking on the helmet. Three points for bearing a rider to the ground. Also, if you bear a rider to the ground, you win his horse. That is the system. Have fun!

Welcome LadyP, you'll like it here! You can talk about Rufus as much as you like, and no one will roll her eyes at you! What role of mine is your favourite, LadyP? My other fangirls seem to have a hard time deciding. But I don't mind. They like me just the way I am.

Ha ha, Wichi - that's funny: we thought of dear Jacob at the same time. I even considered the first pic you chose.
So now you know what kind of place this is, LadyP!
