After I posted my response, I remembered the company was formed in March of 2008. That would have been just around the time he was hired by CBS for Eleventh Hour. I agree that it's especially cool he named it for his father's film company!

Before we all get carried away, it might just be a way (as Judy says on the last page) for Rufus to be able to be paid in the US, rather than a sign of anything creative from him - especially since it's been in existence since 2008.

Ohhhh, that's true. Is it really that annoying for UK actors to get paid over here? That would explain some things.

Hi everyone. It's been a while since I've posted since things have been a bit wacky.
Re: company and getting paid ... I'm certainly not an expert but do work in the entertainment field. In order for a non- US national to work in the US they must have an O-1 visa, which is good for 3 years. That person can work on a variety of projects as long as each hiring entity files the appropriate paperwork. The visa can be extended in one year terms indefinitely after the initial 3 yr period. Tax status is determined by how many days per calendar year the person is physically in the US.
So...after all that, my personal guess (based on the fact that my first boss was Aussie on a green card/citizenship while I worked for him and that I own my own business now) is that his business manager advised him to set up a US Corp --most likely an S designation -- to take advantage of the tax laws that designation has since he would have to pay US taxes due to the EH shoot schedule.
Same types of thing applies when US nationals work overseas. Any performer that does an international concert performance has to have special work visas (plus anyone who is a member of the crew) for each country the tour hits.

Thank you for these insights, tnvol.
Still hope Rufus can use this company as a creative outlet...
