Hmmm. That's interesting (and confusing as you point out!). It looks, though, that the only podcast episodes are his weekend shows, not the weekday ones. But, I did see that you can download an individual show for $2.95 from Audible.com (the US version). I have an Audible membership with plenty of accumulated points to spend, so I should be able to download the July 13 episode once it shows up on Audible's website. Of course, once I have it downloaded, I have no way of knowing if there is any way I can share it with anyone else.

Since I'll be away soon for a few days without any internet connection, I'd appreciate it very much if one of the ladies would find a way to make this available afterwards.....especially if it is new stuff.....

From what I understand, searching around, you must be a subscriber to listen to the daily pod casts. I guess our chance is to buy the show like judypatooty explains in her post. Or if someone is already a subscriber, to save the show for further use.

I plan to download the program from Audible.com once it is available there (I hope by tomorrow). Then, GE2 gave me a good suggestion on how I might be able to record an mp3 of it. If all goes as planned, I'll post in this thread where you can download a copy! (Assuming, of course, that Rufus is actually on the program!)

Status update: I have downloaded the program from Audible and YES!!! it is does begin with an interview with Rufus. The solution that GE2 had PMed to me did not work (boo hiss on the newer Dell computers ... which I have ... which cause problems with that particular program). But I sought out other solutions online and bought one for a very reasonable price which should accomplish our goals. The new solution is hard at work right now, but reports that it is only 9% done! Aack! The whole program is about an hour and a half long (not all Rufus, unfortunately), so who knows what time it'll be finished. I will leave it running and go to bed if necessary and check it in the morning. I have hopes that I'll have excellent news when it finishes its work. --------------- Side note totally unrelated to Rufus: I LOVE Bob Edwards!! I have such fond memories of him on National Public Radio back in the 1980s. When I was in graduate school, I would listen to NPR's "Morning Edition" every morning and "All Things Considered" which came on in the late afternoon. And Bob Edwards' lovely calm voice was always there to report on so many different subjects of interest. I might just have to subscribe to his podcast on Audible.com just so I can listen to him again on a regular basis.

Further update: It's 8:45 p.m. and the program shows that it is only 60% through our desired "alteration" of the Audible file I downloaded. I'm headed to bed. I'll check the status in the morning and let you know how it all came out.
