Hi all, I've been reading here for a few months and thought it time to register and say hello. I should be asleep right now but I am here - does that say something about me? Anyway, I am looking forward to reading and seeing more about Rufus! Greetings, Alyeska

Hi, Alyeska - glad you decided to join in at last! Yup, coming here when you should be doing something else is perfectly normal for us!
Don't worry - there's no eye-rolling here. You can indulge your Rufusitis as much as you like!

Hi again, Alyeska! I'm so glad you decided to join and to make your own thread to introduce yourself. I also lurked for several months before registering, but I haven't regretted joining! I first noticed Rufus when Eleventh Hour was aired in the US. Since then, I've come to admire his versatility as an actor and the personality that shines through in his interviews. Have fun in here!

welcome to Rooftop and my ladies... nice to see you here and enjoy this fantastic "crazy" fansite and THINK... THX GOD - NO CURE AGAINST RUFUSITIS & RUFANATIC... One of my girlies, PGG, loves all of my movies - especially as Petruchio, Tom, Agamemnon, Billy, Charles, Aurelio, Marco, Jacob, Ian and Giles ... and I know she has most of my movies (almost all). ... Her Rufusites and Rufanatics started with "Dangerous Beauty" 1999 in german TV... and fallen in love to me (lucky man ) -

<ahem> This is a special news bulletin. Rufusitis continues to spread throughout the world. There is no cure. Do not panic. It is harmless. No precautions are to be taken at this time. It can cause some eye-rolling in spouses, significant others, children and friends. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy it! Welcome!!

Thanks for the nice welcome - so glad to be here! And again, I should be doing something else right now, but guess what? BTW - when will the next group meeting be with Rufus? Would love to join - as in the Zen Q&A last November.... Is there any special place here where these things are discussed?

Hi Alyeska! Welcome to the fun! Who knows when the next time any of us get to say hello to Rufus in person? I haven't had the opportunity yet. They seem to happen when someone catches wind of Rufus appearing somewhere and there are RTers in the vicinity! I'm still hoping! Have fun poking around the Rooftop!

My absolute fave is The Taming of the Shrew - wish it was available with subtitles, so hard to understand what they are saying at times. I first noticed Rufus in Pillars of the Earth - most gorgeous man on the planet is what I thought. That led to searching for more of his work. Found Honest Courtesan and Woodlanders and Uncorked which I all loved loved loved. Then TOTS - soooo goood. And then I noticed that he was on The Holiday as well, but I couldn't for the life of me make out which part he had in this. So went back to watch it and there he was - and he looked so different! And from then on I had him on my mind 24/7 and wondered about my sanity. Is that me I asked myself. How could that happen? Never happened before. Sure, as a teenager I had my crushes and all, but this? *sigh*

aleyska, I have TOTS with subtitles (because I am hard-of-hearing). Found it on ebay in Australia. You must take a look at the australian edition. On the DVD is ONLY TOTS... If you need any help, don't hesitate ro ask me. BUT you must have a codefree DVDplayer... Because Australia is Pal 4 or codefree sometimes...
