Welcome Alyeska - you're not alone in finding yourself suddenly - and for the first time - lost in admiration for Rufus. Many of us here are in the same situation.

I am mightly glad that this forum exists - when I see others talk about their husbands' reactions I have a huge grin on my face.... Good to know that others feel the same!

And from then on I had him on my mind 24/7 and wondered about my sanity. Is that me I asked myself. How could that happen? Never happened before. Sure, as a teenager I had my crushes and all, but this? *sigh* I SO know what you mean! I've had some mild crushes on footballers and movie stars in my teens, but that was absolutely nothing compared with Rufusitis hitting me hard last year after watching TPOTE on German TV (dubbed, as always ) and following up with TOTS on youtube. When I realized that this man doesn't just have immense talent and adorable looks, but also a VOICE to die for, I was completely done in Have fun around here! If you haven't yet seen Charles II and In a Savage Land, try to remedy that as soon as possible. And the lovely Aurelio Zen, of course.

Hello Miss Kate, I am from Germany too - just not quite as south as you are.... Yeah, noticed him last year in Pillars of the Earth, but I had the advantage of seeing it on DVD and I always watch English movies in the original language, so I noticed his sexy voice right away. Then went on youtube as well. If you recommend Charles II and IASL I will go watch it ASAP. But isn't it horrible that Germans never get to hear the original voice of actors? TV just doesn't do it for me anymore - I either watch on DVD or not at all. Can't stand dubbing...

How nice to have another German on board There are quite a few of us around now. But isn't it horrible that Germans never get to hear the original voice of actors? That's a pity, absolutely. Particularly with Rufus as he's got a different voice in each of his films. Almost all of them are horrible, and none does justice to his real voice We keep asking the ZDF when they will finally air Zen, but to no avail as of now (I've bought the DVD a long time ago anyway, but I think Rufus could use some more exposure in Germany, so I hope they will show the three episodes some time soon.) "In a Savage Land" is very hard to get as a Region 2 DVD, but maybe you'll be lucky on ebay. This one's worth buying.
