Ladies they had enough good taste to nominate the show even though it was cancelled. It is really unsual for cancelled shows to get any nominations anywhere.
I think Rufus and Andy Harries are probably less upset than we are.
So chin up all

Digital spy have this article regarding The Crime Awards: Acclaimed Danish drama series The Killing has dominated this year's Specsavers Crime Thriller Awards.
The murder mystery scooped three trophies at the ceremony, which celebrates achievements in crime literature, TV and film.
The Killing was awarded the 'International TV Dagger', while its stars Sofie Gråbøl and Ann Eleonora Jørgensen grabbed 'Best Actress' and 'Best Supporting Actress' respectively.
In other categories, Jeff Bridges western True Grit won the 'Film Dagger' and BBC detective drama Case Histories received the TV equivalent.
The corporation's success continued as Luther star Idris Elba and Rafe Spall of The Shadow Line took home the 'Best Actor' and 'Best Supporting Actor' honours.
A US remake of The Killing premiered on AMC in April and was renewed for a second season in June. www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/news/a344486/the-killing-true-grit-idris-elba-win-at-crime-thriller-awards.htmlI thought Luther would be popular or at least Idris Elba. Rufus and Zen were at a distinct disadvantage with a cancelled series and just three episodes aired against Luther's ten episodes and two series. I liked Luther too, though obviously not as much as Zen. Perhaps next year the fact that Zen and Rufus didn't win will get a Crime Award by itself! Also coming from a nation that votes "My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding" as ground-breaking TV perhaps Zen was just a little above some TV watchers IQ level I'm pleased I found a website attracting those with a greater degree of intellect not to mention impeccable taste!

Perhaps the early date of broadcasting of Zen was another disadvantage added to those Nell mentioned - living in Germany I don't know when the Luther series was shown on British tv)? And frankly, I cannot understand why the German ZDF, finance partner of the Zen films, does not broadcast Zen - except they regard it also a little above some tv watchers IQ level? And of course, I fully agree to the last statement! ;D

Honestly I didn't expect Zen to win, but it's a shame anyway And frankly, I cannot understand why the German ZDF, finance partner of the Zen films, does not broadcast Zen - except they regard it also a little above some tv watchers IQ level? I was ranting again about the ZDF's stupidity only yesterday. Maybe it's time for another e-mail.

Thanks for the article, Nell. I saw a few tweets last night that moaned about Rufus and Zen not winning -and not from any names I recognised from here! Perhaps next year the fact that Zen and Rufus didn't win will get a Crime Award by itself! It should do!
