Thanks Meg! Very nice! I liked this episode. It was almost used as the pilot for the series.

This was the first episode of EH I saw and that close-up of Rufus standing in hanger doorway (the second screen cap) hooked me! OMG is he good looking in that one or what? Now you see where my Jacob obsession came from.

Oooh, what a gorgeous first sight indeed, Joyce!! I love this episode too. Whenever I watch any show that has any kind of mystery, I naturally try and figure out (as I'm sure many others do) who or what the bad guy or thing is. This one threw me completely. I think the best bits of this episode (other than the ice cream on the fingers and everyone's favourite Jell-O scene) are when he gets excited over the scorpion and when he has his lightbulb moments (ie: pesticide realization and the red food colouring). Those are really well done and they always get me excited, even though I always know he'll get the answers in the end. He's so lovely

Meg - I'm like you - I love to try to figure out the mystery. While a few of the episodes had plot holes big enough to drive a truck through - for the most part the problem was well done - not a lot of cheating on the part of the writers. And yes - Jacob's "light bulb" moment with Rachel's licorice was good - loved the look on his face at that moment.
