could I ask you to spare a thought and prayer for the four miners who have been trapped since before 9 am this morning in a fast flooding mine in Pontedawe about 40 miles from my home in South Wales.

I was watching the Welsh news earlier and it said the rescuers were hopeful and optimistic. Let's hope they can get to them soon, they must be terrified and their poor families so worried.

My mother and myself are going to Mass at St Albans Catheral tomorrow. My mother is visiting me and works in Swansea. So we will both light a candle and give a pray to the miners and their family.

I hadn't heard about this. I'm not a believer, but they are certainly in my thoughts. Let's hope their ordeal is over very soon.

I had not heard anything about them. I will definitely say a few prayers for them, Frannie. Those poor men and their families. I can't imagine what that must be like. It's good to know that their rescuers are hopeful and optimistic, as Welshdragon said. God bless them all!

I read the news this morning, and my thoughts and prayers are with the miners and their families. I hope they will be rescued very soon.

I have just heard on BBC Wales News that three bodies have been found and hope is fading fast for the fourth.
Thank you, all of you, for your kindness. May I ask that you turn your thoughts to their families.
