! Not normally a beardy type of lady but don't those grey bits look all distinguished and grown -up?

hmmm, not sure i'd class this as a flattering shot. sorry! not so much the beard that's unflattering, more the shot itself somehow. reckon he's either been having a bit of down-time not too far from cardiff, visiting his mum, or he's sprouting for a new role?

Sprouting for a new role sounds good! But nay, it's not my favourite look either!!

From a blog, found by Nadine: Phil, Joana and I went to the Closing Gala for the Cardiff Film Festival. I'm behind the camera here, that's Phil in front and Joana in the bottom right. Alice Eve, star of 'Big Nothing', the movie we saw, is to Phil's left with blonde hair. That's Rufus Sewell just to her right..! Film was excellent and it was great of the Director, Jean-Baptiste Andrea, to show up to introduce it. I loved the Director's earlier movie 'Dead End' with Ray Wise, and loved the French short that he made before that - it was kind of a prototype to 'Dead End'. Lots of similar shots in Big Nothing to Dead End including bird's eye view of a car at night winding through streets, forest either side. Anyway, great film. Go see.

I miss the gray threaded hair. Perhaps it's there and it just doesn't photograph well. I like beards and Rufus looks great in one--Helen of Troy anyone? but here he just looks like he needs about a month on holiday to me... YMMV but he does look like a character actor which I'm sure pleases him immensely.

I'm not a great beard fan either The designer stubble is just about OK but that is just a tad too long!

I wonder if it's a Beauty Loop make-over, the 'popular College professor' look? All he needs are some small, modern glasses and a classroom and he's all set! ;D

! Thanks for posting those! It's not his best look, but it's still Rufus and he's still quite the hunk of a man! The Troy beard WAS gorgeous!

And the curls are still there! ;D
I thought he'd have them chopped off when R&R ended!

And the curls are still there! ;D I thought he'd have them chopped off when R&R ended! Heh heh, makes me go all Little Women on him: "As she spoke, Jo took off her bonnet, and a general outcry arose, for all her abundant hair was cut short.
"Your hair! Your beautiful hair!" "Oh, Jo, how could you? Your one beauty." ...only I don't have to. Yay!!
