This is a little different than a Fac Fic listing. This story is not connected to any movie/play/reading Rufus has done. It is, instead, an original piece featuring a hero I would love to see Rufus play. It would be a new venue for him, since I don't recall ever seeing him as a Southern boy before. If you would like to read it, please use this link to access the story titled "The Ballad of Big Frank": dl.dropbox.com/u/43055049/The%20Ballad%20of%20Big%20Frank.doc

I can open it - will read it tonight, as I've got little time right now - I noticed it's 19 pages. Keep trying Joyce.

Lovely story Anglophile! He would make a nice Southener, I think (though I like his own accent best).

Anglophile - finally got to read your story. You are a very talented writer. I could "see" Robbie Gene so clearly in my mind as I read. A good, but sad, story.

What a beautiful story. I loved it very much - the tone, the description of the large family, and, of course, Frank himself

Thank you so much for sending it to me, Anglophile! I just finished reading it (I wanted to save it for a quiet time when I knew I wouldn't be interrupted). I LOVED it! I can't tell you how much the family reminds me of my own Southern family (on my father's side). Frankie reminds me so much of my cousin Missy that it's unbelievable. It's a beautifully woven story and the characters came to life instantly for me. Well done!! Would you mind if I sent this on to my aunt in England (the one I keep saying you remind me so much of)? She'd love reading this. She's been obsessed with the south ever since my mum married my dad! I'll make sure to let her know it was you who wrote it, etc.
