Big Hello to everyone, I'm brand new here but not brand new to admiring Rufus. I'm just sick of admiring him alone so I have sought out some company. This seems the right place.

Hello, Sosewell and welcome to the Rooftop. You'll love it here because we all love Rufus. Can't wait to get to know you. Please jump right in and get involved in all the goings on. Anglophile in Tennessee (where it's almost 3 in the morning and I'm just getting home.)

Hi there and welcome to the Rufus madhouse! Good decision to join the fun here - you're absolutely right that it's much more fun to gush on and on about the lovely man in good company. I fell in love with Rufus in "The Pillars of the Earth" and have watched almost everything he did since then, admiring not only his gorgeous looks but also his great talent and incredible versatility. Oh, and the voice! What made you a fan? And what are your favourite films?

Hi, Sosewell! Please tell us more about yourself, what drew you to Rufus and what you've seen him in - we like to know everything here! Have you been lurking a while? If so, you've probably already had a good mooch through the various sections, but if not you have a lot of treats in store. Ask away if you have any queries (here or in a PM to me or one of the other mods) and in the meantime have lots of fun!

Welcome Sosewell - you're in the right place. We only talk about Rufus here (just about...), and we all have significant others that either don't know, or don't understand, so there you have it.
Have fun here. What are your favourite Rufus roles?

Hello again and thank you all so much for welcoming me. To answer your questions about why I am a fan and what roles I've liked the most, well, maybe it would take up less space if I tell you that I bought Carrington and Dark City on VHS tape and I have In a Savage Land from when I taped it on its tv debut here. So maybe that makes me a bona fide fan of some duration? I love Rufus because of the combination of sensitive and macho he embodies and, of course, his gorgeous looks and melt your heart voice. He can be so mischevious and so charming and so sensual and such a hero. Talk about versatile. I have seen many of his roles up to and including Zen. Do I have to name favourites? Really? If put to torture I would have to say Petruchio and Charles II, I think, however that leaves out Alexander Hamilton and Tom Builder and Leopold and Aurelio and Giles and Marke and Jacob and Mick. I have not seen Vinyan yet but have it on order so I wonder if Paul Bellmer will make my torture list? Well, I look forward to talking to you all around the board. I haven't been a lurker really. I have lots of catching up to do. Such a tough task !! lol. So much Rufus. And I promise that Australia will be kind to him when he films Paradise Lost.

and I have In a Savage Land from when I taped it on its tv debut here. So maybe that makes me a bona fide fan of some duration? Definitely! (I wish they'd show that one on German TV, would be a nice change from all the rubbish we get.) Spoken like a true fangirl. I think you've passed our secret newbie exam ;D Have fun on the board and please also feel free to comment on older threads if you want to.

Petruchio: Now Charles or me? Oh... I have to have a drink. I'm scared that she might not turn up... Welcome, Sosewell!

Phew! If I'd known it was a secret exam I would have been sooooo nervous. So glad I've probably passed.
Thank you again to everyone who has said "welcome". I am thrilled to bits to be here.
I must work on a siggie. I look so plain in the midst of so many lovely Rufus images.
