Help, help, help! PLEASE can someone remind me what Recorder to download, to record various Radio plays? For my own use only, obviously. I thought I had 'bookmarked' the advice thread, but now can't find it. There may be something I need to record. Maybe later today. Thanks for reading this, at least.

I'm not too clever with computers - how do I upload a photo on to the board?

Hi, Corndolly, There are a couple of ways. First, though, do you know how to get the URL (that is, the code) for a photo? You need to put your mouse on whatever photo you want to use, and right click. That brings up a menu (in Internet Explorer, at least) - click on "Properties" at the bottom, and you'll get a box like this: I've circled the URL in red. To save that, put the mouse over the start of the URL, hold down the left-click button and drag across the URL to highlight it, then right-click and click "copy" on the menu that comes up. Then if, say, you want to post it in a thread, you'll need to open a dialogue box by clicking on "Reply" at the bottom right of the page in that thread (you can't use the Quick Reply box to post pics). If you then look at the icons at the top of the box, you'll see the one to post pictures - I've circled it in red here: Click on that and you'll get this box: I always delete where it says "http://". Then paste the URL you saved into that top section by clicking your mouse into it so the cursor is there, then right-click and then click on "paste" in the menu that comes up. You should get something like this: Then just click where it says "insert image" and depending on how your account is set up, you will either see the photo come up, or the code will show like this: Then you can either click "Preview" to see what it looks like, or just click "create post" to post it - et voila! (You could also click on "add attachment" at the top right of the dialogue box if you want to add a pic from your computer. Personally, I wouldn't do it that way, though.) Hope that helps. Just ask if you have any queries!

I'm not sure whether this is the right place for my problem, but: This morning, after login on the RT, when I intended to change to another thread, always a box appeared that asked me whether I would intend to stay on the RT or whether I would prefer to logout. So finally I could not do anything else but logout. Since this was very strange I set my antivirus software to work at once, but everything seems to be all right. I wonder whether I was the only one to experience this or whether other Rooftoppers had similar problems?

According to Proboards, they are having problems with their server and they are working on it. I'm not sure when that started, however, so I don't know if it's related to your issue or not. Please let us know if it keeps up, and if it does, and you can show us a screen cap image of the box, please do so. Thanks.

I had a look on the Support Board, Walt, and couldn't see anyone with the same problem, so hopefully it was just a one-off for you. For supposedly logical machines, computers do seem to do the most nonsensical things sometimes!
