Welcome to the Rooftop!
I'm not quite sure whether it is a good idea to mention "The Woodlanders", because it is a film very difficult to get.
Perhaps I should recommend the (abridged) audio of "The Woodlanders", read by Rufus, which is one of my favourites.

Hi Godmother and welcome!
Your story is so familiar. There's a pattern- discovery (or re-discovery) - IMDB - youtube - order everything on Amazon - find another website for stuff not on Amazon. Watch everything. Seek out every audio recording - then read every book dramatised by Rufus and then for me anyway - read everything with even the most tenuous link e.g. biography Charles 2, Mark Gertler, all the Zen books.
And then I've not even mentioned the picture on your mobile, screen saver etc etc..............you may think it's bad at the moment, you just wait and see! ;D
Anyway - if you're not running for the hills already - see you around!

Welcome to the Rooftop! I'm not quite sure whether it is a good idea to mention "The Woodlanders", because it is a film very difficult to get. Perhaps I should recommend the (abridged) audio of "The Woodlanders", read by Rufus, which is one of my favourites. ehm..it's Eastern Europe here...nothing is REALLY that hard to get...ok well I might be exaggerating (a bit), but we've got several websites with various movies and series ...and yeah, i did see Woodlanders too, last week...loved it. Uncorked- really touched my heart...loved it. Well, yeah, perhaps not ZE FILM of my life or anything, but...it was good seeing it...for various reasons. I even got to see a youtube posting with Dirty weekend, but apart from Rufie...didn't cared much for it. and...yeah...i did see The tourist as well......sort of...translating and looking every now and again...it's true what guys on imdb are saying, these two guys, depp and jolie don't have much chemistry together, plus that jolie woman is getting thinner as she ages (I've been an S/ 6-8 size all my life, so no jealousy here)...dind't like it that much....But Ruf was gorgeous, as much as I could see of him:) ..and btw, about what anglophile said "When you begin questioning your hard-won reputation as an intelligent adult woman who normally exhibits sound judgment, good sense and unquestionable sanity, remember that you are not alone. our stories are remarkably similar, and we are all well-functioning and contributing members of society. the common thread is rufus and our awareness that he is something extraordinary. that makes us all - in my book - even more filled with sound judgment, good sense and unquestionable sanity. "....i couldn't agree more.....particularly the last sentence:P ps it's fun being here with you, ladies (ehm...and gentlemen...if any)

Welcome Maria, you are in great company here. Have fun reading the many posts and fabulous pics. My personal faves of his TOTS, Dark City and In a Savage Land. All unique films and special in their own way. A marvelous actor who doesn't mind showing vulnerability. Always fun to watch and will never let you down.
Walt i just read your comment about the Woodlanders, I first caught a glimpse of that on You Tube then went to Amazon ASAP and snagged a copy, then what Ruphile (is that even a word?) couldn't resist but to get it on audiotape, with none other than Mr. Sewell reading it. Word of caution though...do not under ANY circumstances listen to this whilst driving... extremely hazardous to ones safety.
