You're right, it is a nice interview and a wonderful photo. The interview is more in-depth than some are. But the overall tone of what Rufus was quoted as saying seems rather sad and dissatisfied. He admits to being frustrated with the roles he's offered, and yet we all enjoy each of his roles and look forward to the next. He says he's tired of playing in costume roles, but I hope he doesn't stop playing them, they're my favorites. His roles have been so varied there's something for everyone.
Thanks for posting the interview, rai. I hope Rufus gets over his frustration. Maybe he's just in need of a rest, after all, RnR was quite a demanding schedule for a number of months.

Poor Ruf must be awful tired of these journalists asking him the same old tired questions over and over. They mention the Byronic thing, the baddie typecasting, the Winslet fling or the Madonna thing and Ruf is always so gracious and polite to them when one can only imagine what he really wants to say. How many ions ago did he make Middlemarch and this journalist brings up Byronic? It seems to me like he was simply trying to push his buttons. IMO

Me, too! Can this man get more handsome? Yes, a generally interview, but an awful lot of it has been said before, so I wonder how much the interviewer got from the archives? Loved the comment about Rufus pinching sandwiches and cake! Some things never change... ;D
