Why am I not surprised that no one has voted for the mustache! Not even Rufus can get away with that!

Mmmmm. Rufus stubble. Mmmmm. Rufus anything. Well,Yes!, of course. But to answer the question....Clean Shaven, please . I could cope with some stubble ( I wish!! ), not so keen on the beard, but 'tache? No , No , No! .

I've only just spotted this poll and am, frankly, astonished!!!! Even tho we are just looking doesnt the feeling quotient come into it? It sure does for me ;D i would say the mo' is 1st or 2nd. and the few days growth is last by long shot. why? clean shaven feels (and smells) fab. full face hair - not a fan. too much. aesthetically flattens face. mo' tho, mmmm. feels delicious as long as it is kept lovingly groomed - trimmed, shampooed and conditioned. this mo of his seems soft. i like the 70s whimsy look to it. not everyone can wear it but he can. few days growth - looks good but, prickly as. there i rest my case for the mo. will come back later to vote. must do something to justify pay cheque, now.

Nice, detailed analysis dovescorpio you've obviously given given this a lot of thought - love it!! I prefer the stubble myself - especially in that particular picture (I have that pic as my phone wallpaper!). Saying that I wouldn't turn Rufus away whatever stage of hairiness he was at!

I've only just spotted this poll and am, frankly, astonished!!!! Even tho we are just looking doesnt the feeling quotient come into it? It sure does for me ;D I see where you're coming from, it's a well-reasoned argument, but personally I love to run my hands over a stubbly chin. Once, back in the 80s when Miami Vice was in vogue, a friend mentioned that she didn't like the sloppy, stubbly look that Don Johnson sported, and I told her I thought it was verrrrrry attractive. She grinned at me and said, "Oh, it's that morning-after aspect that draws you in." Naturally I was much too innocent to have ever considered such a thing. (Come to think of it, I'm still much too young to have even been alive in the 80s, so I must be misremembering that part.) So I guess these preferences may just be inborn.

Ophelia, no wonder you make such beautiful babies. You clearly have excellent taste. (aka - bearded men). Do you have one at home? I DO!!!

And yes - love him any which way - its been since mid Nov for me i think - its like a stupid teenage girl crush. thank goodness i dont have to walk past him anywhere like then - i would be repeating all over again, the awful drop pencils, look the other way and then fall over experience !! Love the man with a beard Love the man any which way Love Ophelia xx

Before I saw Rufus sporting a 'tache, I would have agreed with you wholeheartedly, Dove - after seeing Robert Redford in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, I loved moustachioed men for years afterwards. So it came as a huge shock to me to realise that I really don't think one suits Rufus. That destroyed <mumble, mumble> years' worth of drooling over men with 'taches! Now stubble, on the other hand.....

Sorry - far too difficult decision for me to make! I love clean shaven and stubble and I really can't choose between the two. I think a beard covers up far too much of his face and makes him look older and I hate the tash - makes him look like a 1970's porn star in my view! (well how I imagine one too look - obviously I wouldn't know!)
