Now ladies, a new week and it's time to nominate another Movie of the Week.
With all the excitement about ALVH I just realized that there is another movie with historic background and also about slavery: so my recommendation is "Amazing Grace"

To start with I'd like to say a big thankyou to Walt for looking after the motw while I was away  Now an update - the movies picked so far: Victoria Station Extreme Ops Honest Courtesan AKA Dangerous Beauty TOTS Carrington Zen Downloading Nancy In a Savage Land Bless the Child Cold Comfort Farm Woodlanders Vinyan Sea Creature Middlemarch Gone to Seed LOZ Victory Eleventh Hour (Medea) Dark City Charles 2 Arabian Nights Amazing Grace This week I went to see ALVH and spotted Alan Tudyk (Wat in AKT) In AKT Rufus played th bad guy and Wat the twerp. ALVH took the bold move of casting Rufus as the bad guy and AT as the twerp  . Maybe one day they'll surprise us! So in the absence of any her nominations I've picked A Knghts Tale for this weeks motw.  I wonder if this hawk's called Rufus too ;D IMHO the best version on AKT is the extended cut. It has a grey box with Heath Legder in a suit of armour on the front. If you've not seen this version you've missed a bit. Enjoy! |

I love a Knight's tale, but haven't got the copy you mentioned Nell - will have to try and remedy that! I have a big soft spot for this film because this is where I saw Rufus for the first time  I shall look forward to seeing it again. |

This week I nominate The Holiday. Not only is it holiday season but I went into WH Smiths this week and they had a special promotional pack of The Holiday with a booklet about the movie. This movie also got a mention on a tv quiz I saw they mentioned who starred in it and I yelled AND RUFUS SEWELL at the tv! (as you do  ) So what about it? |
