Having just finished re-reading Ratking, Vendetta and Cabal (in the correct sequence of the books) Zen is the perfect choice for me! A good chance to compare how the books were transformed into the scripts.... ;D

I am obviously not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I have lost track of which is movie of the week. Which are we on this week?...that is the week that started Sunday 26th and so which will be the movie starting Sunday 4th March May I make a suggestion that we modify the Movie of the Week thread so that the movie is definitely announced as such on a certain day and on the same day that the nominations for the following week be opened Example >>> Sunday 23rd Movie of the week is ... She Creature Nominations are open now for week commencing Sunday 30th What do you think?

That might not be a bad idea considering that we Rooftoppers span the globe - a good way to accommodate the differnt time zones.

Of course, we can fix dates for the movie of the week, but IMHO that's just a guideline or a recommendation?

I just came back to confirm this weeks winner is Zen - but seeing as there were no other nominations I assume that was taken as gospel!? Frannie in answer to your question - I usually like to announce the winner of the movie of the week nominations on the Friday and the week to watch starts Saturday and runs to the following Friday, if you want something structured this is what I work to. I've not been about much lately so apologies the actual announcement has been a bit late. Unless there's more than 1 nomination you should be able to tell what it's going to be by Friday anyway. If there's been no nomination, someone needs to come up with something fast ;D So the week for Zen is 3 March to 9 March. Some might want to watch just the 1 episode, perhaps their favourite others if they've time maybe watch them all - have fun!

You could always nominate one episode of Zen for this week, and then the others could be nominated at a later date?

I did consider that. But the episodes follow on so if everyone else's is anything like me they like to watch them in order - plus when the likes of EH get's picked there are 17 episodes "mow" would end up lasting all year. However, if a really good reason came along for a particular episode of Zen to be nominated I'd be a good excuse to pick Zen again

New week - new nomination.
I don't want to push, but yesterday a friend of mine called - and I often have to think about "Downloading Nancy" when I talk to her (she has problems of a very different kind).
But I'm well aware that DN is not an easy film - perhaps someone may find another nomination?

I second walt's nomination. I was acutally going to nominate this mysefl as hubby spent most of yesterday watching golf on TV.

And the winner is ..........Downloading Nancy. It's a harrowing storyline for us this week but with brilliant performances all round. Anyone for golf?
