Hi you all! Frankly speaking, I am not really new. I am visiting this board for a pretty couple of weeks. But until today I was too shy to sign in and join the group, actually only due to my own bashfulness... Well, you'll surely notice that English isn't my mother tongue and I'm doomed to make many mistakes. But I don't give a sh1t if that's the price I pay for being surrounded by people who think like me and adore Rufus and his work. I am barely 26 years old (in a few days 27, I fear) and a graduated communication scientist working in the media area. I'm German, well, more or less... My family background is a bit ramified, so that I could say that I am quite multicultural with roots in Spain, Poland and even New Sealand. I hope for profound discussions and new friends here. Greetings to you all, Maria

Welcome Maria. We're very happy to have you here. Sometimes I don't think english is my native tongue either. ;D
Jump in. Tell us what you love about Rufus. Have fun. We've got a lot of colourful characters and devote followers on this group. I'm sure you'll be a terrific addition.

I was hoping to spring that on her slowly after she'd discovered she couldn't live without us.... I discovered this quite a while ago, that's the reason why I had the heart to sign in.

Welcome Maria. English is my native language & I tend to butcher it pretty good myself. So no fears there. I bet you could have some good conversations about that sexy German Tilman with Rosenrot, & about Maori history with SheCreature too, as well as sharing your thoughts about Rufus. Look forward to hearing your perspective on our man. No more timidness, okay? ;D We are all glad you have joined us!

Welcome Maria:
I think we all have similar feelings at some point or another. I have deleted comments moments after posting because I was embarrased only to learn that there is nothing to be shy or embarrased about.
The coolest thing about this Board is how many friends across the world we are making and what incredible taste we all have!

Welcome Maria, please don't be too shy to speak your mind. You couldn't possibly say anything worse than I have said. I can be very silly. Everyone here is tolerant of one another's opinions and we all agree that Rufus is a phenomenal actor.

Hi Maria We have already exchanged a couple of PMs, but I wanted to say properly. Your English is very good. I am always so impressed by people who can interact on forums like this in languages other than their native tongue. I have been trying to learn German for ages and can barely say hello. Enjoy! Minx x

Your English is very good. I am always so impressed by people who can interact on forums like this in languages other than their native tongue. I have been trying to learn German for ages and can barely say hello. Thank you so much, Minx, especially for encouraging me in all respects, and also thanx to all the others who have welcomed me so warmly. If you, Minx, are, or anyone else is seriously interested in learning German or getting to know details concerning my home country: I'm always open for your PMs and correspondence broaching the issue of anything concerning it. For I'm trained in linguistics and teaching, I could create something like a virtual crash course...
