I saw this film on Channel 4 last night It was really quite good . Don't be mislead . It is not a horror flic but an intelligent political thriller: the Ghost of the title refering to ghostwriter Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan are the main leads and Tom Wilkinson amd Robert Pugh turn in fine performances as a pair of creepy slimeballs The film is very true to the book of the same name by Robert Harris. also worth reading

I listened to the audiobook a while ago, which was pretty good (and had a nice twist to the end). I never got to see the film and only recently remembered that it had Ewan McGregor in the title role.
Thanks for bringing it back up, that does sound promising.

The full name of this film is "The Ghost Writer". I also saw it quite recently, and I liked it very much. The director is worth mentioning- Roman Polanski. It is a political and a "secret services" story, very engaging, done in beautiful settings. Both lead actors, in my opinion were superb, together with the rest of the cast. I haven't read the book, but I have read some other of R. Harris' books and they were very interesting.
