Hello and welcome to the Rooftop!
It was lovely Tom Builder that got me hooked on Rufus, and I simply loved everything about Zen and have been fuming ever since the BBC announced it would be axed.
Have fun discovering all the wonderful little goodies here on the forum and the Rufus movies you haven't seen yet. TOTS is definitely highly recommended (after TPOTE, this and the 9/11 poem were what convinced me that this was not just a talented and handsome but also incredibly versatile actor).

Welcome Jamolivej
You have much to look forward to. There's great variety to the roles Rufus has played, for me this is part of the attraction.

Once. again thank you all for your lovely messages and pictures, and recommendations of Rufus's work some of which I have seen but plenty that I have not caught up with yet.I have been browsing the net since last October reading everything I can find re Rufus, and lurking around the Rooftop until I took the plunge and joined, and I am so glad I did because you have all made me feel so welcome. It is so nice to converse with people who appreciate the work of this extremely talented actor who becomes every character he plays, and I haven't even got started on his LOOKS yet.

It is so nice to converse with people who appreciate the work of this extremely talented actor who becomes every character he plays, That is a perfect description of him! Sometimes when we gush on about how good he looks in a suit, it's easy to forget that, first and foremost, we truly do admire his talent. You are never aware that it is Rufus you are watching, unlike some actors who seem always to play variations of themselves. ....but please don't let my comment above stop you from gushing. ;D

Hello again. Have just spent the evening watching Zen again for the umpteenth time, and have steam coming out of my ears thinking about the eight other books which could have been dramatised for our enjoyment, but for the BBC's stupid decision to axe the series. Didn't get round to mentioning Rufus's looks last time did I ?Well how about -Tall Dark & Incredibly Handsome, with green eyes and dark curly hair. How can one man look this good. He must have everyone else's share as well as his own. Just incredible. More soon.

sorry the msg I was referring to was re the Pre Oscars party which I sent Feb 27 showing my appreciation of the photos to which you replied.I am assuming that PM's do not appear on the boards. Is this correct. All my msg's since my initial Hi I'm new - have been via Quick Reply at the bottom of my messages which have then been added to my board and any answers have then appeared below them. Now assuming I now want to go to a topic on another message board and post a message, how do I access this.? This is what I was trying to do on Feb 27 and that's how I ended up sending you a PM.I feel that I am mis-using quick reply

All you need to do is go to the home-page and then click on whichever section, then again on whichever thread, you want to post in. Have you bookmarked this thread? You might want to bookmark the homepage instead: rufussewell.proboards.com/index.cgi?(And no, PMs don't show up on the public boards - they can only be read by the person sending them and the person receiving them) Hope this helps.

Hello again everyone, just thought I'd tell you a little bit more about myself and how I am getting on catching up with Rufus's previous work. I am from London, born and bred, and now live just outside the capital. I enjoy reading, music, visiting interesting places and socialising with family and friends. Since discovering Rufus in Zen I have caught up with lots of his films namely TPOTE Vinyan Charles 11 Helen of Troy 9/11 (unbelievable) Dangerous Beauty TOTS Woodlanders ,have just received Middlemarch(saw it years ago) but will watch it with new eyes now, oh I forgot Bless the Child and A Knights Tale and we won't mention Zorro.Have just ordered Martha meet... Higher Love etc &Carrington. My dream now is to see Rufus on the London stage pleeeeese or anywhere else for that matter (now I really am dreaming) Well will sign off now, getting really tired and will start getting a bit more active around the boards.

Oh, "Martha" and "Higher Love" are two of my favourites in the lighter department, two perfect pick-me-up flicks! Feel free to add your comments to any thread you find interesting. We're looking forward to your opinions!
