Just in case you notice our member count going down over the next week or so, that's because it seems we have a few duplicate accounts here at the moment - it looks as though some members have registered then have forgotten their username/spelled it wrong/forgotten the original password (easily done! :  when they've come back to activate the account and have had to start again. If you're one of those people, please let me know (here or in a PM) so I can delete the erroneous account.  ( Please provide the username of the "wrong" account) On the same subject, needless to say (I hope), we wouldn't look favourably on anyone trying to have two active identities on the forum by opening two accounts deliberately. This has happened recently, sad to say, and the only reason I can think of why that would be done is to cause mischief. Action will be taken in respect of anyone found doing so. Thank you! |

Nice job GE2. Its a shame that anyone would deliberately try to cause trouble here or at any fansite.

I'm in awe. I have enought trouble remembering what I'm saying as 'myself.' Can't imagine trying to juggle two identities. This is one of the funny deja vu moments, however, because a friend on another site and I were just talking about how many new names there are for us to remember in the internet world now. I have three between this site, that site and finfiction, so I have to keep up with all that, just as several of you probably have to. Then I also have to remember the double names I'm aware of for several of you and the triple names for the fanfiction writes, plus the multiple names on the other site. This is mind-bending. I was sad, though, to see the reason behind some of this. The other site, which had seemed so friendly and light-hearted, was invaded by a truly crazy person who has set out to destroy a reputation online and has made it necessary for her target to have police protection, a well. It's a nasty world sometimes. It makes me sad to think anyone would abuse our friendship and sully Rufus' name in such a way here.  |

On a more light hearted note : my problem is with Passwords We have a family PC and I have my own laptop I have a password on the pc for One note; another for my laptop; another for one note/laptop. One for Itunes . one for amazon onr for Paypal and I won't go into online banking  And computers are smarter than me ::)when i tried to use the same password for more than one site . I was told I was already using it elsewhere Duh |

This site has been going for over 5 years now, and that occasion was the first time I'm aware of that somebody did that. I'm with you, Frannie, on passwords! However (and this is not me having a go at you, Frannie, so please don't take offence! , can we keep this thread to the specific subject of duplicate Rooftop accounts, please? Thank you! |

I remembver i had an account that i had problems with, so we tried cancelling it and i registered again... perhaps there is a ghost of accounts past in there somewhere...
