There may already be a thread where we expound on the crazy things we do to feed our Rufaholism - in which case happy for someone to move this there....
"Hi, my name is Dovescorpio, and I am a Rufaholic.
About six weeks ago on the Rooftop I read about the meals that lots of lovely ladies were going to make Rufus, should he happen to come visiting. Immediately I 'saw' Rufus and his friends walking up my drive and me inviting them to sit under the pergola where the white wisteria grows, and me serving large colourful cocktails, my specialty.
And I could practically smell the gorgeous Italian dishes I would then feed them, made with home made pasta and tomatoes and herbs from my garden.
But, there was a problem. Where was I going to feed them, if it got too cold outside?
Here I stopped dreaming and glared at my much loved dining table, squashed up against wall in living room. Ok for me and my ordinary visitors, but not for an extra-special visitor. Bally thing too big for bally dining area in bally midget house.
On another tangent, from other posts I got the idea that it is not totally impossible for an ardent fan such as myself to one day actually meet Rufus at a fan event or a similar something. Particularly if she has a little pot of money set aside to pay for air fare etc to sydney or where the opportunity happens to unfold...
I visited the bank and begged the biggest pot of money they would lend me.
Some of it I want to keep aside, my 'Rufus priority travel fund'.
As for the rest.... am half way through renovations. This is why it has been so hard to get on Rooftop lately, the place is a tip. But there is heaps more space around my dining table now and its going to look very atmospheric. Going to enjoy it every day even without imaginary Rufus coming for dinner ;D
So fellow Rufaholics i need to know: is this maddest thing been done to feed Rufaholism ... or you done something madder?"
